Very interesting how Union Pacific and BNSF keep the grounds,around their tracks so well groomed. In the eastern United States,not so much. Great video my friend,thanks for the share!

Great job! I suspect it has something to do with the terrain, but in my neck of the woods [central Texas], the BNSF runs right by the farm. Ive never seen engines in the middle of a train, nor have I seen stack trains with helpers. I did see one on the old MoP line running from Austin to Palestine. This had one UP engine in the lead and one UP engine as a helper.

I always liked watching trains approaching from really far away on a straight section of tracks. The engines headlights and ditch lights make it look like a huge bright orb of light floating towards me because that’s all I can see when it’s farther away.
