Hi. Enjoyed your video. I’ve been using the exolight 1 for a couple of years now and also have the exolight 2. Both excellent tents. I use them both for solo camps, but prefer the 2 for winter - more room. Really good in wet weather and as you say, so quick to pitch. Best of all, they’re free standing. Hope you get the best from it. 🥾🥾🏔⛺️🍷🍷🍷
Cheers! I've just watched a couple of your vids, the tent seems to hold up well in the wind. I was initially worried about the hydrostatic head rating (1500mm for the fly sheet), but apparently that is equal to 8hrs of heavy rain in 75mph winds - in those conditions I'd just pack up and go home anyway 😂.
Will be realy interested to hear how the new tent works out.
Thanks for your time in filming this for us.
Used it a few times now, it’s great, it pitches really quickly which is a bonus. It’s a bit compact though, just enough room for one man and his rucksack! 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors From your video I liked the design. Face the back bit into the wind and you can still have the opposite side open.
Lets see how it stands up to a bit of wear and tear.
Cheers bonnie lad!
Good pack I’ve had mine a few years and always been comfy.
Wife’s seen the wee tent and fancies one for her doing the cuthbert way this year with the eldest.
It's a decent tent, I just hope it lasts!
Hey, good to see you wearing gear after 15 years or so. Tidy load out. Mark
Cheers Mark 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors A pleasure.
I've been looking at a bivi for lightweight summer trips but now I'm thinking this could be a better option. I'm 6'3 so should be able to fit in it ok. Another great video, thanks.
Another top vid, the tent looks really cool to be fair, as you say not a brand that springs to mind when your picking a good tent, but good design and compact. Like us all I'm dying to get back out in the hills and mountains just for the sole. I'm hopefully going to do my first wild camp ever at the young age of 44. Never done it before but all these videos are so inspiring. Cant wait for more footage of your travels and most importantly beeeeer reviews. Russ in Manchester
Cheers Russ! Your first wild camp is something to look forward to, where are you planing on going? Hopefully I'll have a beer review coming up soon 👍.
@@Adventure-Outdoors Hi Ben (it is Ben?) For the first wild camp I think I'm planning to camp in the lakes by the side of Haweswater or higher up at smalls water. Seen a few videos on it there and seems easy accessible and not too far to leave the van. Be so nice to get back out there when this lockdowns done and also to watch many more videos, like yours, on others bringing out new content. all the best Russ
@@aspects100 That's a good place to go, I was planning on heading there for my first freedom camp in April - small water via High Street. I've left the truck a few times overnight at the carpark there without issue. Good luck with it mate, not long to wait now! 👍
Great video mate!! Looking forward to getting out myself this weekend 😁
Love your videos dude, keep them coming ✌️👍
Cheers Paul! 👍
Lots of good tips in there even for overland adventure where a good declutter is needed.
Would add something like the Nitecore NPB2 Power bank just for charging the phone, GPS device or head torch and a bit of emergency power
Ive just checked out the Nitcore power bank, looks decent, I might have to invest. My current one is like a brick.
Just found your Channel, loving the content !
Cheers Stu! 👍
As always, top notch video with some great info that I can actually use!!! Now how about another motorcycle adventure video showing what you take on a trip?
Cheers Jim, I'll have to get my bike sorted first. It's sat in the garage for months, no MOT, leaking fork seal, spark plugs need changing etc. Hopefully ill get it sorted soon 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors That's too bad. Hope you sort it soon.
Great video! And about jack wolfskin, I have been using it for years. You can trust it, it's a great brand 😉
Have you seal the seams with the seam sealant provided, as the company suggests? Hows the waterproof?
Great rundown, thanks!
I know your game, the lighter the gear the more beer you can carry 😉
Definitely, I reckon I could manage an 8 pack now! 😂🍺
Great video, I was going to contact you about the sleeping bag but think I'm going to get one now.
Cheers mate, I can definitely recommend the sleeping bag; really warm but not too heavy.
@@Adventure-Outdoors my other sleeping bag takes up so much room in my bag but that didn't seem to big.
Hi Ben, a great video there - I haven't done a lightweight camp in such a long time, hopefully soon. That JW solo tent looked really well constructed. Will you be doing a test night in it in your woods? Hope you and T are well 🙏🏻All the best, Paul
Cheers Paul! Yeah the tent seems ok, my last 'lightweight' tent was a Vango Banshee 300 - bombproof but heavy at 3kg so this one should make life easier. I might give it a test run at some point. Keep counting the days mate, we'll be free soon! ATB 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors If you do film a test night out in the JW, I'd love to see it 👍🏻 I can't wait to get out...!!! I have a feeling it may be busy though... 😁Cheers, Paul 🙏🏻
That tent looks cool. Interesting design. Is it double wall? I like exterior poles and apex vents and mesh are a must
Yeah it's sort of double wall as the inner tent is mostly mesh.
You need to lose one of the water bottles.....it’s taking up space where you could carry a beer !
😂 Good idea!
