Thank you for this! I have been looking for a way to convert a 3/4 flat into a 3/4 angle with bristles that go from 1/2”-3/4”. I haven’t been able to find any brush with these dimensions.

So I gave it a practice try on an old brush and there are a few things I will share if anyone is looking to achieve a flat edge.
When you cut the bristles first add a light coat of glue and give it a few hours to dry.
use an exacting knife and metal ruler to guide your cuts. Wash and let dry.
Then add glue again, this time much heavier and let dry for at least 36 hrs. You want the glue on the inside bristles to be completely dry.
Once done sanding and it’s time to clean the glue out be gentle!!! Give it 10 min to soak and then use your fingers to SLOWLY move the bristles and dissolve the glue. After you have gotten your brush to move freely gently wash with a mild soap or brush cleaner and let it dry.
