Also, im not an emotional person, im not the sort to cry without very good reason, but the words of the song and the singing was so beautiful i cried like a baby. Im not ashamed, it felt good :)
@joe21ism i love symphonic metal, and Epica is certainly up there with Within Temptation, Kamelot, Nightwish, and Sirenia. Personally i think some of Epica's strongest songs are feint, blank infinity, never enough, and tides of time. But this song is also pretty cool.
its music like this and similar groups that should define us as the human race, the intelligence and beauty of such art that defies time. This is how I want my generation to be remembered in the future, not by what crap we have these days... thats not how I want history to remember us. i hope we can agree on that
What I find great about Symphonic metal is that every band is great, yet still very unique. Same type of music as Nightwish and Lacuna Coil, but still very different. Each band makes absolutely beautiful music too.
i remember when there was argument at school ... everyone was fighting over whether michael buble or higgins was better. when the students asked the teacher, he said , "on wat criterea?" ... it's the same here. you can't just compare two bands as a whole ... they each have their own components that make them who they are ... epica and nightwish are both amazing bands ... i couldn't let myself compare them .
I only recognized the two final fantasy videos didn't recognize the other two. None the less with the song being a powerful one the scenes were put together great. Great Job.
My favourite part of the SONG, the first chorus, coincidentally comes around the same time as my favourite part of the VIDEO, when the Lindblum is devastated by Atomos. Its awesome.

Actually this is called gothic symphonic metal, gothic metal isnt BAD, its just stereotyped that way. the gothic elements are the orchestra and dark tone, nothing bad, just adds more depth and emotion to the song. I
