    I passed my T1 and D1 with your help Ty. I couldn’t have done it without your podcast and water math DVD. I’m going for my D2 next week and still have your podcast on repeat. Thanks for all the help Ty!

    Make sure you listen to his podcasts and buy his math dvds if you are taking a water distribution or collections exam. It was the best thing that I could have done in preparing for my exams. Thx Ty!

    Not a stupid question at all... Its actually pretty common. The best way to answer it here is to point you to a resource where I answer that exact question in detail. Follow the above link in this video's description to TheWaterSifu and listen to the first 10 minutes of Episode 28. Hope that helps!

    Ty thank you so much for doing this, once I pass the test I will post abpout it. I am here in ohio and getting ready to take the test! I am hoping you can help make sense, I took some courses but it was really confusing! My mind feels like behind my tv with all the wires all over. But the Math so far straightened that part out. Now on to understand all the regulations, vocab etc... I failed some practice tests so I am nervous lol.

    I’m gonna start community college courses to become a water distribution operator this fall but due to my work schedule i can only attend 2 classes at a time. Which classes of the 3 would you recommend to take first, water treatment, water technology math, and water distribution? Thanks for your time!

    • @TheWaterSifu
      @TheWaterSifu  5 лет назад +1

      Honestly, I would not recommend going that route at all.. I highly recommend the course "water treatment plant operation, Vol 1" ... home study course through University of Sacramento. I have a link to the course on the "links" page of my website. If you are not in California, check with your state but I believe it is approved in all states. Please give the Water Sifu Podcast #2 on Operator Certification a listen. I explain exactly why that is the way to go, and the information I share will save you a ton of trouble.

      If you are talking about pre-requisite courses to sit for the exam, listen to my second podcast on operator certification. If you are talking about studying for your exam, use the material on my website (it's almost all free) and check out this link:

  • @remcat3572

    So for entry level D1 and T1 you take five courses from Sac State - $100 each, $500 total? It's Safety, Facilities, Operation, Disinfection, and Management.
    I listened to your second podcast, which was helpful, but I'm still not sure!
    Also, do the above five courses satisfy for both D1 and T1?

    • @TheWaterSifu
      @TheWaterSifu  3 года назад +1

      Ok... I'm gonna beat you up a bit for that comment remcat, but don't get offended because: a) you deserve it for that comment, and b) I'm just having fun with you. I have no idea where any of what you just said came from, but it did not come from my podcast #2 on operator certification... and you clearly did not listen to it, because if you did you would be on the right path and you wouldn't have posted any of what you did. While all of my other podcasts pertain to all states, that specific one focuses on California. From you stating "D1 and T1", it sounds like that's where you are. Go play it again, and this time listen, and it will set you on the right path. :-)

      @@TheWaterSifu Not only did I listen, I took notes and cycled back a bunch of times to clarify. The 51 min. podcast took me about an hour and a half. I'll listen again, but this whole thing is confusing. Also, I don't get the part about skipping over the D1 and T1 exams and just taking the D2 & T2 courses and exams.
      The courses came from the Sac State website for online courses.

    • @TheWaterSifu
      @TheWaterSifu  3 года назад +3

      @@remcat3572 In the podcast, I clearly mention that you do not need a course for the T1 or D1, and that you only need one course for the T2 or D2. There is one specific course that I recommend because it qualifies you to take both exams. Sac state does not even offer a course with any of the titles you mentioned above.... so that is where my last reply came from. I'm happy to take a few minutes to set you on the right path, however. Please give the podcast a listen one more time, starting at 19 minutes in. Then grab my email address from the top of the contact page on my website and email me your phone number. I will give you a call and set you on the right path.

    Hey Sifu, im studying for my D3... is the material up to date, and will it help me pass? Thank you!

    • @TheWaterSifu
      @TheWaterSifu  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes and yes. I mention this on the "questions" page of the website, and I talk about it in my last podcast, but I do actually make changes to the audio podcasts from time to time. You just don't see it as the audio file change doesn't change the release date shown on the original post. As far as the videos here.. also, yes... still good. Good luck on your exam!

      @TheWaterSifu perfect Ty! I've been using your material for my 1s and 2 levels, and it has helped me pass. As for the T3, T4, would it help me as well?

    • @TheWaterSifu
      @TheWaterSifu  2 месяца назад +1

      @@eisupnext Yeah... Definitely! If you are in California, there is one type of math problem I don't cover that you will see on your T4. The reason I don't cover it for everyone is because you will ONLY see it on your T4... It's a calculation for preparing an aliquot solution for jar testing. So when you get to your T4, make sure you know that. Other than that, my site is here for you. 🙂

    • @TheWaterSifu

      If you mean "Is it still available", then yes. Definitely. You can download it from any podcast directory or listen from the website.
      If you mean "Am I coming out with new podcasts", not likely. When I stopped doing the podcasts I didn’t stop because I got bored or busy or just didn’t want to do them anymore. I stopped because I felt I had completed my goal… like when a writer finishes a book. My goal with the podcasts was to provide you with the most efficient use of your time when studying for your exams, and I think they do that very well. To continue to come out with more podcasts would only water down the material with other things that aren’t “the most critical things to learn” and would make the whole series less effective in my eyes.
