Recipe: Korean Fried Chicken Burger 1. Marinate 2 chicken thighs with 1T (tablespoon) rice wine, pepper, 1 small piece of grated ginger, and 1t (teaspoon) soy sauce for at least 1 hour. 2. Green Onion Cream Cheese: Mix 2T cream cheese, 2T chopped green onion, 1t corn syrup, a pinch of salt and pepper. Refrigerate. 3. Apple Salad: In a bowl, mix half a sliced apple, 1 chopped chili, 20g shredded carrot, 20g shredded onion, and 5g perilla leaves. Add 10g kimchi juice, 1T vinegar, 1t soy sauce, 1t lemon juice, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, sugar, and pepper. Toss. 4. Sauce: Mix 2T gochujang, 2T ketchup, 3T soy sauce, 2T minced garlic, 4T corn syrup, 3T sugar, 4T water, and pepper. Cook with chopped chili in sesame oil until thickened. 5. Coat the marinated chicken thighs with 2T flour and 1T potato starch. 6. Fry the chicken at 160°C (320°F) for 70% cooking, then cool for 3 minutes. Raise oil to 180°C (356°F) and fry until golden and crispy. 7. Coat the fried chicken with the prepared sauce. 8. Toast the burger buns and spread a little mustard. 9. Assemble: spread the cream cheese, add perilla leaves, apple salad, and chicken. Top with the bun. Enjoy and good luck on your date!
