The best I can recommend that have the same vibe and atmosphere as parasyte are : Tokyo Ghoul, Death note, future diaries and dead man wonderland (uncensored of course). They have those oh fuck moments but parasyte has a mashup of so many styles so it's hard to get something comparable. Hope this might've helped :))
future diaries aka mirrai nikki is by far one of the top 10 anime shows ever made, but its harder to watch because besides the action scenes its really a love hate plot. either you love it or you hate it
