What fun play place! I've never seen anything like it! It looks SO fun! I've seen able-bodied parents go to parks with their children and all they do it watch the kids. I didn't see any other parents playing with their kids. Where there any? Your child is much luckier than a lot of others.

Great video! Mama Zooms is an awesome picture book about a little boy whose mama uses a wheelchair. Perfect for young kids with great illustrations.

2:00 When I was going to school to become a welder (I was about 30 at the time) there was a stoner kid in my class. I had to go to class without my leg once. He knew I was an amputee. In fact, he was the one who told me, "Hey dude, your leg is on fire" (no that wasn't why I could not wear it)
It was a Monday, and I'd messed myself up hiking over the weekend. There was a comedy movie out at the time about a guy who got drunk then could not remember where he had left his car. The movie was called, "Dude, where's my car."
When this stoner (picture Specoli from Fast Times) asked about my leg I said, "Well, I partied a bit too much over the weekend, and I woke up and was like, "Dude, where's my leg?"
He literally fell over laughing so hard.

It's not easy to show off, when other kids are looking and not knowing, what's going on. But the kids are learning, that this can be the normal truth for someone and it's priceless for there learning, how the real world is. I grow up with a disabled person and I know, that these persons are normal people. And even the kids are looking, there are learning that this is the normal world in which we live. Keep going, Sorry for my English, greetings from Germany ;-)

How's the endurance for doing a day of one legged hopping on trampolines? On the flip side, does rolling around for a long time get tiresome on the arms? Or are you regularly exercising in order to build endurance for stuff like this?

Hello, Great Videos!!!! What brand wheel chair do you have. I just had my AK surgery done June 2nd of this year. Been looking for a streamline chair to try and yours looks really mobile. Thanks

I love making jokes about my missing leg. After first getting my prosthetic leg, I told the physical therapist that something was wrong, when he asked what, I replied, I can't feel my leg.
One of my favorites is that I used to be really gullible, and one time someone pulled my leg so hard it came off.
Then I went to a discount hospital that had a half price sale, instead of charging me an arm and a leg, they only charged a leg.

Looks like great fun. Are the trampolines kind to your non residual leg? I imagine the springiness is easier on the joints, but there may be factors I’m unaware of.

3:15 As an amputee, I'm calling bullshit on that. You might need to find a different way of participating, but you can still participate.

Just wondering, is the sign language used in England understandable to ASL users?
It would be interesting if speakers of English English and American English have no trouble communicating but the deaf communities from each country "spoke" completely different languages.

That is actually the case!! BSL (British Sign Language) is VERY different from ASL.

I am fluent in ASL and learning BSL. The languages are wildly different. Many signs in ASL have different meanings in BSL and visa versa.

Watching you boy walk over that kid, then watching you roll up to him, all I am thinking is NONONONO oh please, no."
Of course you wouldn't, but it did give me a bit of anxiety.
I found out that my foot is fine on the trampoline unless the spring in my foot has very nearly cat through the foot shell, then completely cuts through while you're bouncing around.
I felt bad, and I was prepared to pay for the damage. Thank god I saw the damage right away and reported it so they could close that one tramp.
I figured maybe I could get away with not saying anything and escape having to pay for the damage, but I was really afraid someone might be hurt. I couldn't afford to pay for the damage, but they were cool and said not to worry about it.
I'm afraid I might have gotten amputees banned from the place but I'm not sure as I never went back. I hope not though.
Is he still doing stuff he knows he shouldn't. I got such a kick out of him climbing on the counter while saying, "Get down."
He was talking to himself, but he wasn't listening.

What about below the knee amputees?

I have never tried a trampoline as a BK. I guess whether you take your leg off or leave it on depends on individual factors.
