I am extremely bothered about the band change. Although they sound professional. The old band knew him Spherically. Any move he made any mis-step, They had his back. Obvious to a fan of 44 yrs. Change is not our friend as we age. I do however wish him the best and blessings from the Almighty.
Listen, people knew his voice was gone, but they bought tickets anyway. Why? Because they are true blue fans, and they love and respect Frankie for bringing us music that was golden and respectful- His music is timeless and so is our love for Frankie!

Yes, I would see him regardless. Just seen him in Philly July 6th for his farewell tour. Frankie put his heart in it and you can tell he loves his fans. We LOVE him. I couldn't have let his last tour happen and I not attend. ❤️ ❤️

I'm reading the comments that say his voice is gone, he needs to retire. I hear what everyone else hears but I'm a die hard fan that can overlook that. Shucks, the man has given us over 50 years of beautiful music, there's a lot of wear and tear on that voice. Frankie doesn't SING he SANGS. You're still going to party, it's still a feel good concert and his band is always tight, always has been. The memories I have of the concerts I've gone to make me smile, I had a ball everytime I saw him. He's not going to retire until he's ready, he does it for the people, he loves being on stage. Best believe when he retires, it will be because he's ready, it won't be because people say he needs to. I JUST WANNA THANK YOU FRANKIE BEVERLY AND MAZE♥️

His vocals are struggling but what do u expect from a 77 year old. I still love him dearly!! My husband's best friend turned him on to Frankie in the early 80's and my husband of 47 yrs turned me on to him. We've loved him ever since and we made 2 babies off his music. Don't be sad, folks. Frankie has been sounding like this for over 10 years. Not everyone can keep their voice healthy until the grave. His show is about the music and the experience. Still a legend! And I hope he keeps performing as long as he loves it. ❤️
I agree, I would go tonight if he were near. But he has lost several key musicians who sang also. From the tape I saw it’s not as smooth as it used to be. Old group knew him in and out!

My generation has had the privilege to experience the greatness of so many fields of work. The sacrifice can't be measured. Stripped down to the soul of nothing. But goodness & mercy kept following. There is a special mystic that followed 3-4 hundred years with no check stubs. Sun up to sun down g & m kept following. Many hoped to see better days. So many have given everything and knew they would get nothing in return. You got to know your assignment. If Frankie & Maze had been in it for trophies, plaques or other stuff, they prob would faded years ago. Frankie and Maze have an assignment. G&M follows them. Nobody can claim to be committed to their fans. No new material and can still sell out arenas. G&M follows them. Frankie can still slay today. What an example of goodness & mercy. Summer breaks, family reunions,vacations,first love, on & on FB/M have been the soundtrack of the greatest times of my life. Forever Frankie Beverley & Maze. I have been to many concerts, but I must admit seeing Frankie Beverly and Maze live was one of the best concerts I have ever witnessed. One of the few bands that sound better "live" than their recordings.

As we each get older.our body changes.our voices change and maybe our personality.
The older entertainers have given us decades of great songs and performances. Instrumentals. Movies. Theater etc.
Even athletes lose their looks.
Be grateful and proud that they can be given the opportunity to perform once or twice again.
Get their albums and cd. Play lists while you can.
When you listen or watch their videos remember them as they were. If you see them in live concert respect them.their band and back up singers etc.
One day ever one will change.
So many don't make it to their senior years and can still perform.
Give them their applause while they can still appreciate them.
Younger generation are producing music that can never surpass the greats; howwever, there are many talented young artists. Actors. Musicians. etc.
They will never be the exact replica of the originals but with proper training and respect they can become as great . maybe some greater. But never the original.
Don't expect a concert to be what it was 50 years ago.

His appearance reminds me how I have aged myself since I first saw and had the pleasure of meeting him in person with his band in Germany in the mid-eighties. He was so generous to give me a back-stage pass for two concerts in Frankfurt and Würzburg. Maze and Franky will always remain in my heart just like Maurice and Earth, Wind & Fire. Good spirited music with a message and a unique groove.
This is beautiful that the band gave this to him and the fans turned up for it. He gave his all for decades. What a wonderful soul. Who cares if he can't sing anymore? He needs to put his feet up.
So very grateful I got to see them perform in London.
Listen it takes a lot of energy and time and effort to be Frankie at the wonderful age of 77 years old! You know what that tells me about him he loves us and he loves what’s he’s doing! I grew up near the Nile Swim Club and remember the signs for Frankie Beverly and Raw Soul performing at Splash Parties. I wasn’t old enough to go, but listened to him 50+ years. I had the fortune of meeting band members at a hotel in Houston. I recognized McKinley and went over and sat with him in the lobby for a few minutes. Frankie was a a different hotel. When the live album in NO came out in 1980, I became hooked on him again. I’ve seen him numerous times in Philly, Chicago, Houston, Hampton, Dallas and Phoenix. Watching this video, he is giving his soul and everything he’s got. I’m reveling in the music and the concerts. Thank YOU Frankie for all that you’ve done and accomplished. Great memories.
Funny thing about the Houston concert, Frankie came on after Lakeside and Mr. Bigs (Ronald Isley) was after Frankie. I felt bad for Mr. Bigs cause when Frankie and Maze finished, more than half the crowd left!

Saw him in Chicago and will see him in St. Louis in two weeks. He is a legend to me and we will definitely miss this man when he hangs up his mic for the last time!! It’s obvious he is dealing with a medical condition. He is not the only singer to continue performing, even though his voice is gone. Some do it out of a sense of obligation to help their band mates earn a living. I saw them many times in the eighties and they were Terrific each and every time. HOF!

Yes he said something years ago at his concert in Baltimore at Pier 6 I was there. But it was a great show, he let us know because he was having difficulty singing at that time. We in Baltimore LOVE Frankie sorry he has to Retire but there comes a time in all our lives that we have to let it go.

My family and I attended the Mother's Day farewell concert. Frankie Beverly is AMAZING. 77 yrs old, a true professional, a beautiful person. We had an awesome time. Thank you so much for the many years of showering us with love through your music.

Never a dull concert over the years, glad to have seen him in the 80's with Teena Marie. The greatest album and concert was Live In New Orleans hands down, I don't know how many times I bought that cd over the last 25 years after loosing, scratching or just wearing it out.
