The ESC is a re-branded Castle Creations Sidewinder 8 not a Castle MM2. The difference is quite significant in terms of power, torque and heat. On top of all that.... the re-branded 2200 kv motor is a 1515 1Y which was designed to be paired with the CC Mamba Monster ESC as it is an amp hog/powerhouse/torque monster. When the 2200kv 1515 1Y put up against the CC 2200kv 1515B motor (that was designed to be paired with the CC Sidewinder 8th ESC) there is no contest. The 1515 1Y 2200kv Castle/Neu motor is still king after all these years....and is now available sensored!
no... the motor is a sealed can. There is no way for sand to get into the motor. However, if you plan on running it in sand I would highly recommend a product like 'Outerwearz' and get some good sealed bearings and keep em clean and greased.
The battery holders are not as small as they appear. There is plenty of room in them. With standard batteries you have to use the included foam blocks to secure them. The holders also have wire holes at both ends so you can shift the weight of the batteries forwards or backwards.
Very good and informative review!! Very impressive R/C. I visited your store recently and I am happy to see you guys are getting into model trains as well! I am considering getting into R/C's, but I am working to finish my model railroad first. I plan to get back to your store before Christmas! See you guys soon! I have subbed your channel. Stop by and check my channel and sub back if you don't mind! Bernie

Yes this Yeti is amazing. Cool channel! Subbed!
The Axial Racing Yeti XL 1/8th scale 4WD buggy is so amazing that we had to do it for our 3rd review. Check out the video.
That thing looks awesome, the only thing I wish Axial would do is get on the wagon and make their chassis aluminum on these larger buggies.
Can the Castle Creations 1 fifth scale motor fit inside the axial Yeti XL???
Hi,
Thanks for the video, does the sand get easily inside the motor and stops it?
Thanks
No idea. The store has been closed a while and I only fly planes now.
