That is cool! I’d make coloured. Beachside why not! Get some of that grip shelf liner to hold the cup. Also get a clamp to hold it to the table so it won’t slip around.
Thank you so much Holley Grise!!! I’m working on another one right now. Hint: it’s going to have Gnomes hanging out in the tree! Thanks for watching. 💕
absolutely splendid job! I have been wanting to try a lighted cup but wasn't sure how to do the wire, never thought about drilling a hole-great idea! Did you have any trouble with epoxy dripping into the hole with the final flood coat? Thanks so much for this tutorial.
Hi Sandra Broussard. Thank you so much. I used hot glue on the inside where the hole was to seal the hole and secure the wire. And then added the Diamond Glaze on the outside and added more glitter over that. So when I seal with resin you can’t even see there was a hole drilled there at all. Thanks for watching. You can do it!!!!
Just loved this video. Inspiring. That cup is simply amazing. I recently bought a stumbler to one day make one if these cups. Very thankful for your excellent presentation. One question. Do you seek to "embed" lights in epoxy? TIA❤❤❤
Thank you for watching and your kind words. I bought those round lights from Michael’s on clearance. They came in glass jars and I just took them out and used them on my cups. You can purchase these from China but they slow boat them over.
@@KreativeEscapadesbyKimBevill thank you. Now what was the stuff you used to put over your wires and then put glitter over them? Are you sharing your files? If so where do i find them. That is the best Christmas light tumbler I've seen. Beautiful. Thanks
Hi Sarah. I’ve heard that info too. So I did the ice test. I filled the cup and 12hrs later although some of it had melted, it still had some ice left. My personal opinion is it still keeps a drink cold for several hours and you have a unique cup. Thanks for watching 💕
I've been trying to drill a hole in a strawbler for days! How long did it take? Do you have a trick to it? I'm sooooo frustrated! I want to get to the fun part!
It didn’t take long. Maybe try a cobalt bit. They are made for harder substrate like metal and they don’t run as hot on the surface. Don’t give up. The fun part is well worth the initial hard part! Thanks for watching. Hope this helps.
Thank you Gabby. I’m not sure about the story board. I’m not sure where you would be able to fit the battery pack especially if you used any liquid you have to seal that in somehow. If you can find a smaller battery pack and didn’t add any liquid you might could do it. A New Years Storyboard with lights would be cool tho!!! Thanks for watching!
I’m sorry Karen Riley. All tumblers that you add resin or any type exterior design are always hand washed, towel dried. Do not submerge in water, do not leave sitting in a sink. I don’t even put any of my stainless steel tumblers with out a design in the dishwasher.
Hi Rebecca. With all Resin Tumblers you hand wash anyway. They are never dishwasher safe nor can you leave in water filled sink. So with this one you would hand wash and leave the storage portion of the cup on tight while cleaning. I wouldn’t tempt fate by cleaning without the bottom tightly screwed on nor would I leave it under running water.
It would depend on how you handle the cleaning. Only hand washing with the bottom securely tighten and rinsing only the cup above the base should be safe.
Hi Leanne! I actually got these round ones out of heritage jars from Michael’s that I caught on clearance. However You can find flat oblong light kits on Amazon These are some blue ones that I bought from Amazon. They have them in clear and multicolored as well. CYLAPEX 12 Pack Blue Fairy String Lights Battery Operated Fairy Lights Starry String Lights on 3.3ft/1m. AND AMAZON PRIME WEEK IS MONDAY AND TUESDAY IF YOU ARE A PRIME MEMBER YAY!!!! 😁 Hope this helps and thanks for watching! 💕
Hi hilesca Hidalgo. I drilled the hole just above the base of the interior of storage area. Then I thread the wires through the hole and then pump hot glue through the hole. No damage to the wires, and the hole is plugged. Thanks for watching.
Do you cut off excess lights or is there a certain size that you use? I was looking for some shorter ones just in case but so far have only come across 7ft ones. Thanks in advance :-)
Hi Kendra. I use the mason jar lid lights. They are approximately 3.5 ft with 20 lights. Amazon has them in battery pack and in solar. Hope this helps you! Thanks for watching!!! 💕
Hi Jamie Miller. These came in some mason jars that I caught on clearance. Amazon has some mason jar lid lights but they are solar. Amz does have some that aren’t solar, the battery pack is oblong. Thanks for watching.
@@KreativeEscapadesbyKimBevill I think she's asking if the cup feels like it has bumps where the lights are after you are all done with the eopxy, etc.
Oh. Ok. So Where each light is there isn’t a bump. But I purposely covered the wires with extra glitter so when I added the resin over it would have a wave or ripple that looks kind of like the branches on a Christmas Tree. I tried to show that in the video. Maybe it does appear as a “bump” but it’s a on purpose bump. Thanks for clarifying. I was checking out my cup to try to see what Brenda was talking about. 🤣🤣 Thanks for watching!!!
Those actually came out of some lighted mason jars I bought at Michael’s after Halloween last year BUT there are some on Amazon that are small and flat. I’ll see if I can find them and send you the link.

Thanks so much for this tutorial!
Can you tell me how you got your lights to stick and get your bottom to close without snapping the wire?

Witch one is to put the light on the bottom
When you put your final layer of epoxy, do you go over top of the lights?
Michele Harris yes ma’am. And the results is amazing because the epoxy kind of acts like a reflector and spreads the light to shine wider area.
Thank you!
Best Christmas light tumbler ever! Great job and good job explaining everything and still keeping tutorial concise. Tysmfs😍
Thank you Joyce Crecelius!!! 💕

Hello been that this was a year ago how long did the lights and cup last?
Hi Dani. The cup was sold and the lights run on batteries that are in the base of the cup for easy replacement.
Bonjour , je ne sais pas comment faire le recherche pour tumbler comme celui-ci , pouvez vous m’aider ?
How do u price this ? I want to make one but not sure what to price it
I would say you’d have to price the way you do any item. Consider costs and invested time at whatever you value your time at. Thanks for watching!

So water won't get in the bottom where the battery pack is? And it wont ruin it?
