I would rather die alone in my own home, then in a nursing home. The house was once a loved and comfortable home. So sad to see it abandoned like this.
Ditto Norma 🥀
Ya know I don't mind dieing alone. Cause I know I have a lot of family and good friends waiting for me
@@suzsnnesanders4742 Amen . We are never alone , God is with us and gives us the Peace we need .
That is my only wish in life is to die at home, alone or otherwise. I would never want to be surrounded by people I don't know
Same here x
I was imagining the sounds that house once held. There was probably a family with lots of love and laughter. Imagine an old radio playing while someone was cooking, and someone sitting at the table reading a newspaper, talking about the days events.
Charming as ever, Dale too. I like how you respect all these abandoned homes and buildings.
I know it's sad he died alone but it's a lot worse for a old person to be in a nursing home because they lose all their freedom. When I'm old I wish to live free without people controlling my every move. Thank you for the interesting video it looks like at one time it was a cozy little home.
I worked in an aged care facility as a carer, I hope I never end up in one, I would also rather die at home alone. Many people also die alone in aged care homes if their family is not there for them 24 hours a day once the elderly go into palliative care, staff are not able to sit with them due to not enough staff.
@@margyb7469 thanks makes me feel well better about my mum in a care home
to be fair most people don't go into care homes if they are able to live independently - it's a last resort for people with severe physical and/or mental frailty. The days of old people going into homes just to get them 'out of the way' are long gone.
@@Londonfogey No it's not a last resort. After 8 years of working as an aged care worker I can assure you that it's not.
Families are to busy in this modern life style that they no longer have the time to look after their parents.
@@margyb7469 Interesting. I assumed care homes were far too expensive (£1000 a week plus in London) for anyone to use them unless they absolutely had no choice.
Happy to see you guys are respectful to that gentleman’s home. Thank you.
And some people think the world is over populated, so sad that someone gets left alone 😢
It's just the cycle . Kids leave start there own families or travel.
Then there kids do the same . Nobody lives anywhere near there parents anymore we all constantly moving around chasing the money to buy our own house. Working in a high income area to save the deposit . Then move to a cheap area to build some collateral . Then finally move to a place we want to live and have kids.
Then our kids do the same leaving us alone . 🤷
Actually that's the way I want...PEACEFUL.
I can remember when. A child and family lived with there parents. Sometimes 3 generations. Every one used to care for Grandparents. Now we're in the way and not wanted.
@@rebaeasler Very sad but true. Yet life goes on.
The vandalism is just so disrespectful to the memory of the Family that made this house a Home. Adam and Dale are very genuine and sincere in their investigating and do not denigrate the site thank goodness. Thanks Guys loved this Explore.💗
Bathrooms all stink because the traps dry up in the tub, sink, and toilet and you are smelling sewer gas, terrible smell! I only know this because I am a retired plumber lol. Fantastic video!
My grandpa was a plumber and I remember Grandpa and Dad installing a toilet and I was standing there watching and it was explained to me they put this thing at the base of it (between the floor and the toilet base) called an o-ring made of wax that was said to create a seal that kept the gases from coming up. I wonder if, over time, that wax ring, maybe with the power being out and cold, maybe contracts and thus, the seeping of gas upward and into the room? Just guessing.
Thank u for the info
I think these videos are so interesting. Like time stood still when the last person in the house left/died. When my parents died (mum last) their house though clean and still with all their stuff in it, felt totally EMPTY. Like the house's soul went with them too.
Those two taps in the kitchen, my grandparent use to have two taps: one was for rainwater to use, the other one was groundwater. So they always had water they could use. Back then that was a privilege. But at my grandparents kitchen the taps were maneged by a handle. You pumped the water up from underneath.
Bad karma to disrespect the abandoned houses. Great video as usual Thankyou. ❤️🇦🇺
Thank you for being so respectful some others are not!
How sad if he died there all by him self it’s so interesting to be able to go back in time to see how others lived thank you nice job 👍🏼
glad you are so respectful of the stuff. You are enjoying yourself.
My grandad used to have a reel-to-reel tape-recorder like that in the 60s. It was used to provide soundtracks to his cine films that he took of us.
I reckon there is some amazing memories on those reels 🥰
Awww Adam & Dale, that was lovely, i got the feeling i liked this grandad, thank you lads
like you mentioned... so sad this 90 year old died alone... especially when he has a son James. James should have had his dads home emptied and cleared - like they do out here in Australia. I cant believe just how many homes are left *as is* in the UK, this is just so wrong. good for you guys exploring, but if these people had family - they should clean it up and empty it all.
I love your videos drop during my morning coffee here in Tennessee!!! Great start to my day!! Great little place !! ❤️❤️
Same here in a snowy Colorado!
I'm a new subscriber, this was very interesting, the house was so sweet, I'd live to see it become a home again. God bless the man and his wife that lived there. My MIL was also born in the same year the man was. 1924. Thanks for sharing another great video. 🙂🌻🌷
I like that you all are respectful and careful with everything. It says a lot about your character and upbringing. Cheers from Minnesnowta 🥶
Im glad you showed the name on the stove AGA. It's just me, i need to see a word written or spelled out to understand it. I'm in the US, from your pronunciation i thought you were saying "auger" the tool used to drill into soil for fence posts or holes in the ice for ice fishing😊
Its so fun to learn of all the history over there. Thank you❤
The Tesco Value labelled stuff gives you a rough dating of when the house was abandoned. Launched in 1993, it was revamped in 2012 to Tesco Everyday Value, which did away with the blue red and white labels of the older Tesco Value. Earlier Tesco Value labels were very plain, and towards the end the labels were modernised and included colour. If you look on the labels they will include a Copyright notice and date, which is a pretty good indication of date, as Tesco tends to change product labelling at least every couple of years.
I would've simply loved to have that Navy blue men's sweater with the stripes, that was hanging over the closet door in the bedroom. Thank you! and have a great Summer, Adam! Johnny Montréal Canada 👍❤️
It's how I am going to die... but hopefully I give everything away before it happens, I don't want to leave a mess behind for my son to clean it all up/throw away all of my memories.
Yeah me too
I keep saying I need to weed out things before I go. Hopefully I will. Don't want my son to have to do it
I feel exactly the same and am in the process of trying to sort it.
Blasts from the past Kwik save, Belling cooker with internal second glass door and tea dispenser amazing. Great vid
So sad 😪 when you see all these belongings that meant something to somebody once and now they are gone and it's so sad
Loved the bathroom wallpaper. In the caravan, the milk bottle tops were collected for Guide dogs for the Blind. In the house, on top of the piano is a copper reflection heater.
Another great exploration. When I was at junior school we used to collect those milk bottle tops for charity, maybe he'd been collecting them for his kids to take to school? Those bakelite light switches are really cool and nice to see, as are the height/growth markings on the wall. I think the jar in the boiler cupboard @ 6.20 is dried haricot/navy beans?
Love your show it makes my day we have a lot in common I love looking in old abandoned houses like your self I take nothing love to look
Love the "ROOSTER LOOK" Adam. Your hair coming out of your hat LOL
"Why would there be a shortage of foam? Who's using all the foam?" 🤣 Love it!
Love this explore with you and Dale ❤
I'm enjoying your video Adam it's a shame the guy past away i think someone from the family who you said mite have moved abroad and came back just to cleaned up and just walked away left everything behind Adam.
Hello Adam I believe the possible Airel dish in the lounge is an heat light.
I'm enjoying this weeks Explore. 😀😀😀
Really enjoyed that thanks. Fantastic little house. Bet some of crockery is worth a lot. That was a beautiful treasure trove going to waste, a lovely place. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
No frills was an amazing store that sold d.i.y and other things like household and food plus toys. We missed it lots when it closed down it was lots of years ago.
I pictured my Grandparents watching this. The drop down in the kitchen was for making pastry on and bread . Enjoyed watching .
People used to collect foil milk bottle tops for the blind association back in the sixties 👍🐾🥰
Lovely little old house at least he stayed at home love the vids xx
Very good house tour. His story. Musical he was
My favorite explores are the ones with you and Dale 🙂 Keep exploring because to be honest I just started getting into any of this and I'm almost 51 yrs old and yours is my favorite and I'm only subscribed to three in total. I am from Massachusetts in the USA and there would be alot to explore here🤔😀
Antique teacups everywhere. Some very valuable
Hey Adam.. another good one. 👍 The Raleigh twenty bike was from 1974. Shaz 🥰👌🙂
So tiny you get in your own way! No room for a table to sit with friends to share a meal. Love the brass trays with the ships, knew the owner had a maritime heart. And there in the year was an old dingy!
I can remember when my grandad had all his brass plates and little brass figures and I had to clean them all 🤣
Upright pianos will usually have a label inside the top lid (usually on the back board) that will have the serial number and other pertinent info that you can look up.
Adam, 1 request, the next time (if you ever go back to this area) would you take a look at the old washing machine in the yard. I caught a glimpse of it out the kitchen window. At least I think it is a washing machine. We had one like it in our basement when I was young and I remember catching my fingers in the rollers at the top that you used to get the water out of your clothes before taking them outside to hang on the clothesline. Thanks - another great explore!
So sad to people vandalize. Cute little home for sure
15:58 that label style looks fairly up to date and its use by date too which is very strange because the house looks abandoned a very long time .. Great video as usual.
Very nice little house
Morgue. Happy days. Looks well creepy. Watching now. Hope ya well pal. Stay safe. 👍💪👻
Aww mate this place is amazing so much history. Absolutely crazy. Thanks for the tour mate
Nice little fireplace.
Currys delux hairdryer is from the 60's/70"s
Hi Adam great explore as always Ann
I think there would be a really good energy in that house,he was clearly loved and fondly thought of.shame there were no photos.
Cute little house. Quite a few collectables there rotting away, plus the 50s caravan. Would be nice to meet the heirs to the property and see why its hasnt been kelp up or sold.
Love the blogs very interesting something different well done
Always a thrill to see these kind of explore, a bit creepy but very fascinating. Im a fan from the Philippines.
Loved the granddads house small and comfortable
You guys are BRAVE HEARTS🥰🥰
Living room and parlour mate.
Just catching up on your explores, only recently discovered your channel and I'm really enjoying it. Feel like I get to go on an adventure, this place was fantastic
Definately grandads house.Definately a hairdryer. The cabinet is a writing desk called a bureau. The Raleigh Twenty in the shed was from the 70s as my mum had one. They had a basket on the front and a bag on the back bit to put your shopping in.Interesting explore there.xx
Good packet of razor blades in the bathroom! Thanks for sharing us that morgue. Very interesting how the liquids gravity -flow in cement channels, even under walls. Good luck guys 👍
I noticed that Dale recognized it was a hairdryer straight away, I used to have a pink one exactly the same, what about you Dale? Lol
Nice one
His fav chair by the window. His spirit could be walking around with you. I can just see him..hands in pockets walking along with you. Chuckling when you guys joke and notice stuff.
Wow.. such a cool find! Just found your channel and totally enjoying it 🤩 Randonautica brought us to our FIRST abandoned (haunted) location a few days ago and it’s inspired us to explore more abandoned locations💖 Stay safe and keep up the great work!!
Milk bottle tops used to be saved for the blind charity when I was a girl
Tack för denna video, intressant,många minnen från de som bodde där.🌹
My heart breaks when they have been forgotten and sadly suffered and died Alone. That criminal of people whom knew them.
Adam: hey, have you seen these nuts? 😂😂
Seems like no matter how rich or poor you are, having a piano in your home was a must back then ...
Really great video
Feels sad 😥
Enjoyed this messy old house. Really small. The dentures were funny.Take care....
This is an interesting exploration
Adam ur awsome u an dale hi 👋 😊
The jar of NUTS as you think are pastry weights...you make your own pastry put it in a tin as if making a quiche base cover with the weights and cook it stops the pastry from rising 💕✨
So cool! Love ur vids from ohio USA
That white table in the morg would make a ''different'' kitchen worktop?!
Lovely find, liked the pianos. Hello from US WACO TEXAS
I saw a desk. You went by. The front is folded up. You didn't open the desk. Was in room with chair and fireplace. Dark brown. The kind the front folds down to write on and has inner cubbies for stuff
Fantastic u found another great house ❤
A bottle of Drambuie. He was a man of good taste.
it was very interesting. thank you for sharing what it looks like inside. now I dont have to wonder how things look inside abandoned houses. very sad some houses look like it would still be great to live in if only someone could restore it and live in it. lookiing forward to seeing more.
Aloha 🌴
I love your random comments, I crease up laughing to myself. great video.
Really enjoy your explores Adam! Nice to meet you Dale! Appreciate the way you explore, with care & respect. Could listen to you speak all day long. Can please tell me where, what country, you are from; and if explores are in same? Thanks very much. Please take care. Loved this tiny home, tells sweet story. So touched. You're very good explorer.
Adams from North Wales and explores 🇬🇧
@@anth6121 thank you
A lot of great antiques glassware in there.
"chafe yer arse" 😂 🤣 😂 great explore lads.
I was looking for this in the comments! 😂
My dad had a Raleigh twenty bike in the 70’s. I used to meet him from work and he’s give me a lift on the back. I was about 6 at the time. Might give you an idea on the bike. Also milk bottle tops were for getting money for the tops. Think I used to take them into school sometimes for a charity maybe. Subscribed 👍🏻
Like the little house and 50s caravan.
its very sad.... it should make us all understand... that at the end of the day... time is all we have... make the most of it.... because we are all going to end up in the boneyard.
I love these Urbex videos because they are an escape to another time, I like to imagine what it was like, for example I pictured someone Ironing there clothes for the day at the ironing board by the window with early morning sun shining in....THUMBS UP!!
So sad that ppl pass on and all their life is left to decay , god bless them ,
I was born in 1954 so I'df he was 30 then as u said he would be 97 now and that champagne said he was 90 , so not that long ago , so that jar with 2019 could have been his and maybe not a another person just eating there 👍enjoyed your vid very interesting cheers lads 👍
Sucks that vandals had to break so much. What a cool old caravan!
The little round tabs that were stuck to the chair arms were medical chest tabs for checking heart reathum, called ekg, probably left on when went to the hospital then discharged, removing them when got home.
That was a "creepy ass" morgue table! Great vid.
I thought I saw a big blood stain on one of the pillows in the frontroom and the couch. Creepy..
Mother basement white table was very clean
Def a hairdryer. Pianos were cool too. Great vid👍
