- I don't think there a lot of things more difficult to make than a chair, and what's a barstool (that has a seat back anyway) other than a tall chair? They need to be comfortable first and foremost, nice to look at, and both sturdy and safe. This is a build video of the first time I've ever attempted to make something quite like this. I mentioned that I'd provide links to the hardware that I used, so here it is:
On the stool:
Upholstery Fabric: www.amazon.com...
Foot Rail Cover: www.amazon.com...
Swivel Mechanism: www.amazon.com...
In the cushion:
Batting: www.amazon.com...
Nylon Webbing: www.amazon.com...
Foam cutter: www.amazon.com...
Upholstery Foam: www.amazon.com...
Upholstery Batting: www.amazon.com...
I cannot express how awesome this project turned out. We spend so much time downstairs and this just makes it even more amazing! Thank you!!!!!!!
Quite an undertaking over three years.. you must be very proud, I would be! I bet a beer tastes even better swivelling in those chairs when you think back over three years of work.
Wow! Great video for us aspiring woodworkers! Thank you!
So much work that went into every piece. You probably won't be volunteering to build 8 of anything any time soon. - Chris
Amazing, man... Fantastic work! 😃
Stunning stools! Really well done!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks for sharing, thoughtful process, very informative
amazing! I really need to try out some steam bending, it seems to open up a lot of different possibilities.
Phenomenal video
Thanks!
Man. I get its edited and stuff.. but some ur woodworking..u make it look so easy.. i struggle to have strait cuts pushing through a table saw... hahaha
Show!!!
This is the reason I do not like to build chairs. It takes too much time for not so much reward.
