Project Description:
********************
In this episode, you will learn about the smallest Arduino Seeeduino XIAO. In this tutorial, I will cover the extreme basics before I am going to use this smallest Arduino in some beginner’s level, intermediate level, and advanced level projects.
In this tutorial, we will cover
1. Seeeduino XIAO technical specifications
2. Pinout
3. Seeeduino XIAO Arduino IDE board manager installation and finally
4. Some basic example codes to help you get started with this smallest Arduino Seeeduino XIAO. We will cover the Serial communication… LED blinking… Analog Sensor Interfacing for controlling the ON and OFF time delay of the LED, and some other example codes available in my article. You can find a link in the description.

You do very well 👍👍
*You explain very well thank you*
Thank you my friend for another amazing video.
well explained and a lot of data provide!
I am not sure I will use this device since it's only 3.3v and a level shift is required.
ya, but there are too many 3.3v supported sensors.
Nice project
You need a resistor in series with your yellow LED to limit current flow, or you may damage your board.
nope, it's a 3.3v logic baord
not 5v
@@simolx Well, even 3.3V, you'll need a current limiting resistor, your LED will consume as much current as available.
@Andrew C Well, without a current limiting resistor in series to the LED, you might overload the MCU providing current.
Was about to return the board due to poor documentation on how to startup in Arduino IDE. The only trick I found was that my boards seem to auto-reset if you want to add a note in description or anything. Once it auto reset after upload I just re-opened serial monitor and bam!!
My main problem with these plug in MCU is that the USB connector takes up at least 2 inches worth of working space in your project. there needs to be a way to replace the USB connector with a pico blade connector instead or at least route the D- and D+ pins in parallel to the connector or pin outs.
Q1 What is the DAC specs? I can't see it on www.seeedstudio.com/Seeeduino-XIAO-Arduino-Microcontroller-SAMD21-Cortex-M0+-p-4426.html
Q2 What is the average power taken if no LED's powered? Can it be reduced by slowing the clock?
By the way, wonderfully concise video. No waffle, straight to the point.
Good
Thanks
Strange, my Xiao only makes about 1.6V when the LED is connected... anyone an idea why? (Connected to usb-c)
Can you please confirm me that this xiao supports HID and can be used a rubber ducky? Does it have any reset pin?
How much program memory was used in your blink program? I used the same Arduino program for the XIAO and it compiled to 34K Bytes!
Does it have capacitive touch sensors?
what do you mean pin 5 and pin 7 can't be used at the same time? so I can't digitalWrite HIGH to both of those pins at the same time?
I couldn't understand him either?
I found it > All pins on Seeeduino XIAO support interrupts, but two pins cannot be used at the same time: 5 pin and 7 pin.
What library would you recommend I use to play audio from this chip?
I'm struggling to get audio to play on this thing, but I'm a newbie.
@@danirabinowitz5049 It may not be suitable for audio. I can't see specs on www.seeedstudio.com/Seeeduino-XIAO-Arduino-Microcontroller-SAMD21-Cortex-M0+-p-4426.html so I have asked the question.
Check out the Adafruit QT Py - SAMD21 instead has a STEMMA QT Connector for Hardware I2C, and a real Reset Switch, and an RGB NeoPixel LED! www.adafruit.com/product/4600
An additional 2MB of SPI connected Flash can be added to the bottom of the Board, Easy to solder SO8 package. Price listed as $6.00 for now.
Why does it have 5v pin if you shouldn't use 5v Vin?
Also, is there no reset pin?
Great video though.. Thanks.
there is reset, i explained it in the article. yes you can use 5v pin. i powered up this module using laptop and power bank.
I thought you were going to add the board link for Arduino IDE in the video description. Don't worry I will find elsewhere.
What is the price
4.9 dollars
While the content is very useful and informative the "like share subscribe" notifications are very distracting and annoying. Once is well enough (even if it is much more discrete, trust the subliminal sensing). Multiple times it is just annoying. I cannot like that. Sorry.
