Amazing collection! I have only about 200 tapes. Many people in my city (NYC) throw them out by the hunfreds or even throusands. Earlier this month a man not too far from me threw out close to 700 of them. If I only had the space I would have picked them up. Some were even factory sealed, it was saddening, I can only imagine that you're either into real estate or a stock invester or a business owner. Otherwise I can't think of ay other way anyone could afford all of this.
I think you’ve literally made those Superman VHS tapes rare as you’ve bought most of them. I finally managed to snag Superman I-III on eBay tonight after looking for ages.
Don't know if you have a hi-fi stereo video recorder, but have you ever come across a Thorn EMI copy of Superman III which has hi-fi stereo sound? It was originally released in the days when only the linear track had stereo, but many Thorn EMIs were churned out for a few years, so any copies made after 1984/85 would have had it. I've just never found one!
I see you've bought a load of videos from Ebay from the same seller as i have, looks like you were the who bought the Jaws tape for over £300. Mystery solved, great update :)
Bloody hell, yh think i paid £370 in the end, i put a reserve price of £2000 so i knew i would win the same for jaws 2 also haha we must be mad, hope you have a copy now!! thanks for watching
Strange you reckon the Jaws 2 sleeve variant is rarer than the Jaws sleeve variant. I managed to get a lovely copy of that Jaws 2 tape a few years ago, but can’t seem to find a copy of the first Jaws sleeve variant anywhere. It hasn’t come up on eBay in 3 years ( since these ) & no ones letting go of it so it seems....!
29:51 I am wondering, do you have an Archive.org account or any way of posting scans online because I would love to see and read some of the scans for things like the old video tape catalogues or adverts and promotional gubbins like that 1987 Video Collection catalogue
@@markpullen2848 thats awesome. just a few more questions: 1. may i ask whats the most you've ever spent on a VHS tape? 2. which titles would i be fortunate to find in my loft? 3. why the HELL don't you open up a store? you could make some good money from the nostalgia junkies!
The clown inherited 99% of his VHS collection from a dead relative, (Dad, uncle or grandad), the big clue is the ex-rental video shop stickers on the side of ALL of the videos!!! Which proves they all came from the same videoshop. LOL.
He only knows about "Jaws", "Superman", and "Supergirl", he doesn't know ANYTHING else, ask him about any other videos, he wouldn't even have a clue if he had it or not in his collection. This guy is a JOKE and a FRAUD! ha ha
You have so many tapes but you keep focusing on the same ones and there’s all these obscure films you have with great covers and you ignore them. I see you do this a lot. Also check out Tom hodges vhs video cover art book

nah i don't own a copy of that version, maybe one day though. Keep up the good work mate, some really nice stuff in this update :)

Quite incredible Mark. Must be one of the biggest surviving collections in the U.K.
