I picked up one a few weeks ago directly through Linksys. A day after the order, I got a call from Linksys asking if this was a fraudulent order. Weird, but it arrived a couple days later and set it up. I have Spectrum with 400 mbps. I get that throughout my 1100 sqft apartment everywhere (I do plan on moving into a home soon). In the first week, I noticed it was a bit laggy during streaming. Similar to that when I had my Orbi mesh. I restarted it once or twice and it finally works properly. After the first couple weeks, I still feel it is a bit laggy when streaming once in a while but it goes away quickly. Linksys needs to update the software a bit more. One thing I hate the most is the status light do not turn off like on the Orbi mesh so I put a couple layers of electrical tape to block the light in my bedroom. I'm looking forward to getting gigabit internet to see how great this system is. Overall, it's great, but needs a bit more work on the software side.
Personally I wouldn't call a super old house with super THICC walls a mansion but the standard stuff on the market struggles to even reach 80% of the building so hopefully some of these higher end devices might help.
I know I’m a little late to the party, but I was wondering if you’re able to hardwire the linksys nodes from the main one to the other ones that been able to connect more landline devices from each of those
if you have 1 gig download at the source, how fast does it become when you use WIFI. It looks like you were getting 300 mb per sec only even though you have one gig at the source. Please clarify
Can someone tell me the difference between Atlas & Velop ? If I buy one or two nodes, can I always upgrade from there ? What is the latest fastest one ?
I was looking to replace my current Linksys router (it has dead spots too), and ended up getting the MX10 earlier this week. I did see this 6e model on their site, but it was unavailable for purchase then.
What is the main difference between the Max and the Pro. The Pro is a lot cheaper and is getting just as good reviews and seems to be the best choice for my home. Just wanting to know your thoughts and if you know of the major differences, in laymans terms of course.
So question. I bought this today hooked it up and when having 2 nodes I only get wifi 6e if I'm by the main node. When i walk out into the living room where my other node is I only wifi 6. Isn't it supposed to be be wifi 6e always on a compatible device?
Am I able to manually select which node a specific device should connect to? I have a camera in my garage that is connecting to a node upstairs but I would prefer it to connect to my node in the garage.
I'm getting only 220 mb download out of 500 i suppose to have and only 50 upload with similar 3 node velop i believe ax5200 system. Now I want to try this atlas max if I will get my promises 500 mb download speed. Providers modem router gets 350mb.
Bad WiFi Reception = Good Construction? 😭 Rebar cross-sections in concrete walls are the worst. If drywall, maybe some kind of steel mesh behind the drywall. Not sure why they'd do that, though.
I tried to upvote this 100 times but it just registered as one, lmao. I wish it was available in my area. It’s literally available down the road but they won’t install it in my area. Trust me, my upload is killing me.
Yea, I am a bit skeptical. Linksys Wifi routers arent the best when it comes to reliable and consistent wifi signal around the home. Also, I knew this would be expensive, it being the first Wifi 6E device. But, $1100, this thing cost more than my new laptop. Geeshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
The reason why is that prices can always change. The benefit is that there’s a link you can always click on that will allow you to see the current pricing and get the discount while it lasts!
This is the top of the line for tech, so it can be more expensive when it’s so cutting edge. Over time it can definitely drop in price, but for now there’s a discount with the link in the description. Sorry!
@@ThisIsTechToday oh, I'm not knocking it. I love hearing about the new tech and glad you are sharing it. It's awesome to see where tech is going with the changes to a digital world.
I legit checked it out to see more about the dream machine and that’s simply not true. First, it doesn’t have WiFi 6 let alone WiFi 6E so it’s two generations behind. Second, those access points are just extenders not additional nodes. It doesn’t even operate as a mesh network but just extenders. The Linskys Atlas 6E is not only an additional node rather than simply act as an extender, but it provides Ethernet access at each node point which was always a pain point for me in the past. What if I want to live stream gaming? A repeater doesn’t allow me to connect over Ethernet to have a faster, more reliable, lower latency connection. This does, which is huge! It’s especially important to have that ability to have Ethernet where you’re at if you don’t like poking holes in your walls or you rent. Sorry, Jerry, but side by side they’re not even remotely close.

It's crazy that you get these 2 packs for $450 brand new on Ebay now. I paid $900 when these rolled out. It has been great though.
Your lighting is so good Brandon! Love it - great video!
Thanks so much, Max! For the lifestyle house stuff outside of the studio I just shot the light up at the ceiling so it was super soft 😊

is the parental control included in it. Do we need to pay extra to get more
Compatible with HomeKit?
This gives me Dave2D vibes,
Can you link a satellite via cat6 for no drop in Wi-Fi performance off that satellite? Thanks!

Nice work Brandon! I need to setup a mesh network soon.
Thanks so much, Jeff! Mesh is for sure the way to go now!
B… but my AmpliFi Alien has a green LED light :( lmaaao
And now I want this. Dammit Brandon 😂 great video!

@@ThisIsTechToday A wonderful upgrade. Signal is strong all around the house. Now I wish the internet was faster (at the same price).

do the nodes need to connect to the main router for optimal performance. IE can it be node node router, instead of node router node
Me: Pretty cool tech, I could really use that in my place!
*Sees the price*
...I’m going to need to save up a bit for that 😳
How big is your place? 😉
@@ThisIsTechToday It's rather small, but it's tall and old so the walls are too thick for stable signal haha

Can you lay router horizontally on its long side? 😅
Haha. I don’t think it was designed for that 😅
Brandon, how many nodes did you end up using when you reviewed the product?
For this showcase, I had 3 set up since it comes with three.
darn i was too late. would have been great to use that discount code.

Does it happen to have a built-in VPN to connect locally to my Blue Iris server?
This dude got the new ”white” xbox series x console. 3 of them at that 😅
One could argue that this is even more cutting edge tech than that x3…for WiFi
@@ThisIsTechToday hard to believe but probably true man 😂👌
Is this HomeKit certified and have Thread? The cost is high - can’t even order one for Canada :(
Hmm, I don't believe it is. I don't know of many homekit enabled routers to be honest. Maybe one that I can think of off the top of my head.
Your followers from Egypt ❤️❤️
Thank you!

It’s a super old house so you may be right! It’s really surprising how it manages to block so much at super short distances.
The only problem is that you need wifi 6e supported devices
What if you don't 🤔
Using 3 White Xbox Series X’s as a mesh router
Or do they power your Xbox Series X? 👀
Brandon. You so need fiber. Haha

Cutting edge tech has a cost but it comes down after a few years.
