*Do you think the Botswana Patriotic Front should clearly declare their stance as opposition or coalition? How important is clarity in political alliances for a healthy democracy?*
Yes I think they should. In a functioning democracy, the ruling party needs a strong opposition to keep it check; not one that will sleep in the same bed with. UDC must wake up to know that the work they have been doing is now assumed by the BCP. BPF is so compromised, and at best is a UDC back bench.
u will not take the offer because its ur choice, BPF have chosen to accept the offer, their choice. BCP chose to exit UDC, it was their decision. Nwa metsi Dums
mme kana are go salwe ditsamaiso morago ..tse di kwadilweng tse di leng teng....ke kgang hela ya structural and technical as well as procedural compliance.
It was a blessing in disguise actually for the BCP to exit the coalition, now they can hold the UDC accountable and have oversight. Batswana behave like a herd of goats that all go into one kraal one after the other,in 2019 they were all saying lesang Masisi a buse and now they’re all rooting for the UDC forgetting what happened with BDP. We cannot continue entrusting one man with our economy, that is where the BCP comes in. We don’t have any assurance of what DGB will do in the next 5 years and yes we support him but with caution.
And then tomorrow, when udc messes up the country, you ask where the opposition is? Do you people think deeply about issues, or do you just get lost in the excitement? Are you comfortable with a parliament without opposition?
In the house of Batswana which is Parliament, every MP is a servant of the Republic wena with your political ideology can stay in the back benches and bark.
We are looking forward to the current MPs to serve the interests of the poopulance. We need; accountability,, improved social ammenities, employment creation, revival of the economy.
The pain of vice president seat, one man's loss is another man's gain, keep walking bcp. We no you are still fighting the old fights of the breaker way party bcp from the BNF. As UDC we don't see you as a competitor we know who you represent just form an alliance with bdp as they have now come very close to bcp to work with. If the offer for a ministerial post was coming from the then ruling party bdp you were going to accept without saying a word. But you will never ever come close to what UDC is
Firstly, you stàrted opposition party when the country was peaceful. Why are you not in power up to now. The answer is that you are just like the previous leader, just wanting to rule not lead
@@kabzaify That's a lame come back. Do you believe in democratic engagement? What you said about Saleshando being arrogant is what people were saying about Rre Boko; and I thought the new dispensation was not about ass licking! Go back and listen to President Boko, and you will get the tone of his presidency; not the sycophancy and intolerance to opposing views you're on about.

It’s critical,we have a herd mentality in Botswana.

As a UDC member I understand you Sir.We need a strong opposition
The voice of democracy in Botswana ...
The same Saleshando failed to write to the speaker to inform him when the BCP dumped UDC.
I LOVE DUMELANG ❤️ DOING A GREAT JOB. BPF IS NOT A PARTY CONTROLLED BY VOTERS BUT BY A BUNCH OF SUBJECTS CONTROLLED BY THEIR CHIEF.😢

If the country was peaceful by then, what was BNF was doing there which is the mother of BCP.
