Wow. I am deaf and when I got into watching the Olympics, I once thought the Paraolympics to be a mockery of the Olympics but watching the games have changed my perception of disablied people in sports. I even found out that there is a deaf olympics as well. Did not know this. And this blind running is amazing. Huge amount of respect for those woman and their guides and all altheles in the paraolympcs!

Hi! I ran track with my best friend Rosie in middle school. She was our first leg in the 1600 meter relay. She is deaf and we would get disqualified because she jumped the gun. I never got over it. I hope the rules have changed. ❤️

it is good attempt in para olympics teaming with is absolutely good attempt got success rate but future they should even reinvent when olympic should always looks for better starting line finishing line with single rope for each player in finishig line just like trecking the direction without a partner will make even much better
i olympics has good success rate of finiding how the athletic for blind fold should document to how for a single rope of direction for each blind fold will make to reach direction more than partner or finishing line
a partner always drive or gives the mode how her runs it is good success rate but just to document how for it is still best on tracks with blind fold with partner running , a rope to the finishing end or vcrtically to finishing end or horizontal end
should document so that we can understand how they discover what are the failures comes and how success the blind fold run is effective with partner

The Brazilian runner was rightfully disqualified, you can see that the guide-runner virtually pushed the girl forward across the line with such a force that the girl stumbled after crossing the line...

So why was Terezinha disqualified? I have unable to find the reason why online. Does anyone know? I also heard this is the first Paralympics where both the runner and guide will get a medal? Is that true? I don't understand why a male guide should be eligible for a medal in a women's race.

@Joseph: they started giving the guides medals in the London Paralympics. Before that only the pilot cyclists in the tandem races in Beijing. They should always have been given medals. They worked their asses off as well. They have always had to obey the same paralympic rules as the athletes that they are working with but with no recognition at all.
