Great review. This definitely looks like it hits the sweet spot between a real Lile knife and a collectable replica. I've seen people run the licensed replicas through similar tests with chopping and batoning, and the blade immediately came loose, so hats off to Wall for making the real deal! Even if I was just going to get a Rambo knife as a display piece, I'd rather pay more to have a real knife that actually works.
I dont think you have to worry about breaking the knife at the handle/blade connection. Vibration from batoning could maybe cause the blade to loosen but i dont know. Most quality hollow handle knives are extreamly strong and you will break the blade before you break the connection between blade and handle. My only issue with Greg Walls knives are that the steal is too soft and thus the tip bends easy. Would love to have got a close up look at the tip of yours. Sam Wilson's hollow handle knives have very functional saw teeth and similar looking to the First Blood knife and are EXTREAMLY strong. Vaughn Neeley and Andy Wood make the finest looking and highest quality First Blood knives available today. Way beyond Greg Walls. Great review brother. Thanks
Thank you so much for your comment! And yes i actualy Think your right with the blade, dont Think it would break of with the handle! I know that after using it. Okay ill make a video when i have made the fieldtest on the mission knife, and show you some close up footage👍 my conclusion with the knifes has changes after using them, so it would be a great idea to make a follow up video!
I own a Vaughn Neeley made Rambo 2 knife and it is amazing. Very pricey, though. I could only afford it due to combining the severance package of my old job plus the sign on bonus of my new job. lol
@@Skyfall-sv8df Yeah, and the quality definitely shows. I haven't tested the sawteeth myself, though. I wonder how functional they are. CPM154 is good steel, though.
Thanks for doing this test. I have the D2 version Wall knife (kinda wanted to also get the 440c version as well) and I honestly don't have the heart in me to try it.
I ordered a D2 Bowie about 5 years ago and is awesome but he has taken my money on the last order and not delivered. I ordered on 12 May 2020. Anyone else have problems?
Where can I buy these custom hand made ones? I bought a Heartstopper from Neptunne Shop only to find out that it was false advertising as the officially endorsed Sylvester Stallone version. I received a knock off version which is why it was $80. I have a First Blood knife arriving from them from China as well, and I suspect it may be another knock off.
As a three decade Lile collector, a good rule with First Blood knives is, if it's under two grand then Jimmy didn't make it. Even the new one by Neeley cost around that (Neeley isn't Jimmy, but there's admittedly something cool about a Rambo knife made by an actual Green Beret).
Real Liles (and Timberlines, Buckmasters and especially Parrshes) saw, but knowing Wall doesn't angle his teeth, I ordered mine without the saw. It looks better but not screen accurate. (But that's what my 85 vintage Lile "Mission" is for).
Es una pena que estos knifes de acorralado first blood,no sean útiles y se rompan en cuanto les haces trabajar,l,am from spain y me gusta mucho el knife de rambo pero no made in China.😢

I can definitely agree that the greg wall first blood is awesome. Killer video my brother
Awesome blade, Bee Gees, chicken test… your videos are always so fun Bro! I love the sawback blades! Just straight up cool!
Thank you so much John!!! That first blood design is never getting Old! Fantastisk design
V.Neeley of Lile knives finished mine last November. $2000.00. You have a beautiful collection. I waited 40 years for mine. Worth the wait.
Yeah I’m going to just make my own at a fraction of the cost
@@CagedSUPERMAN greg wall makes the first blood one at around $400-$500 dollars I think

Exelent review. I own one. Is elegant
ill never forget when i first watched that movie! i was a teen!
It’s a fantasy knife… imo the saw back on the knife just adds a unnecessary cost to a decent knife
Yep you are correct its made for the Big screen! But its defently a cool knife! Thanks for the comment👍
Is it really. You're a genius.the knife is awesome especially for fans.

Copium. Yes, they’re not in vogue but many actual useful knives were made with that feature. It’s useful for easy consistent notches
