The green Eco Styler Gel
Cra'Deja C u should used beeswax or any thick kinda pomade. It barely flakes and lays hair down and makes it smooth
I used a gel that flakes like crazy and i ended up adding alittle vitamin e oil to the gel as i put it on and i got no more flaking maybe that will help.
Cra'Deja C use murrays black beeswax and edge control and eco gel
i coat my hair with oil before any sleek styles. it usually helps with the flaking lmao i don’t know how but it helps me

Considering you didn’t apply any heat to your hair and used gel to slick it down a week is a good time frame.
It came out so nice! I would recommend you to use a leave in conditioner under the gel so you have a base. Also it’ll give your hair moister. Gel is drying alone.

I’m a zillion months late but I use that much gel if not more because I love it lol and I’ve recently found that smoothing it down while doing it with a very light oil sheen makes it sleeker and it doesn’t flake even after a week. I been using the creme of nature replenishing sheen spray and it’s helped so much.

Loveeeee this tutorial 😍but a little advice is that instead of just wrapping the hair at the top of the braid, wrap the tracks around the braid going up because it hides the braid much better☺️just thought it was helpful

try using murray’s bee wax to lay it down as flat as it can get then use a little bit of eco styler gel.
i personally did not like the bee wax because it wasn’t working being that i have a 3C hair type. but i do slick backs and within a couple hours it flakes. but using the black bee wax and eco gel prevents flakes and makes ur hair stiff to obtain the hair style.

I think this is good. But it’s gone flake regardless because I kept mine in for a week but everyday I had to add gel to make sure it was laid all the way down. So flakes will come regardless. My flakes came after about a week too

Yeah I was gonna ask how does your hair not flake with all that gel but It makes me feel better knowing that it happens to you too. I have straight hair already but I love sleek hairstyles and I have the clear eco styling gel and I barely used any of it and it flakes on my hair so much! I did a Dutch braid style on my sister with it for an event and I felt so bad because it was flaking and I didn’t want people to think that she doesn’t wash her hair or something
