Even after doing your road test it’s still as important or more important to practice safe driving and another thing is overconfidence, especially for driving in unsafe conditions.

Situational Awareness a foreign / confusing concept to most Americans / Canadians , in UK it's fundermental part learning to drive early on. Also you should be paying attention all the time because harzards and risks are forever changing while your driving ,also it enables to plan ahead ahead and take avasive action sooner to avoid a hazard

Hi Rick, I am wondering. I was making a left turn at a green light but there was too much traffic coming and the light turned red. I was in the intersection, but maybe not far out enough? Because as I turned left on red in the intersection a car came straight out from the other direction and could have hit me. Was I not far out enough into the intersection that he couldn’t see me there? Thanks

I hope you can see my message but I don’t know if you’re going to answer‘cause it’s an old video but today I had a very scary situation at an intersection. How can I drive cautiously when passing straight an intersection and the traffic lights are green? Today I was passing an intersection at about 40mph, traffic lights were green but to my left a car crossed a red light and it
Turned my way, seems it was going to crash me but then he turn to left lane and I kept in the right lane. It was a miracle, God protected us and my kids were in the car with me. It wasn’t my fault because I was on green light, the other car seemed he was running away from someone. Now is it recommended to lower my speed every time I cross straight an intersection? I didn’t use my brakes because when I saw the car he was already turning my way and he kept running and got lost, I only honked when I saw him. I would like to know how to behave in situations like this and i am a new driver, so it was a traumatic experience

You did the right thing my friend. And you're okay. Any mishap you can walk away from is a good one. We're so happy to hear that you and your family are okay. Breathe my friend and get back to driving. Don't let this bad experience ruin the great job of getting your license and driving. When approaching an intersection, scan well in advance. Scan left, centre, right and left again. And if there's a potential hazard, cover the brake in preparation to stop. Remember, green means go...if the way is clear. God bless, Cheers Rick

Hey Rick, Question in a class 7 BC road test. How do you know, when turning right in a intersection with a bus lane, it is not allowed? Without posted sighs saying it.
What are the road marking sighs that will tell you to go to the left lane when turning right instead of driving through a bus lane. Thank you

Rick, you've been a tremendous help in my first month of driving, I've been watching a ton of your videos and they've helped so much.
My question is, do you have a playlist that someone who just got their L should go through? I've gone through your videos and found some of the things that I wanted to focus on but I'm sure there's videos that you've posted that I should watch but haven't found yet.

I took your advice about 'buying the blue car you like' and I really bought a blue car as I desired and turned down other deals. I'm so happy with it now. Thank you, Rick

@@smartdrivetest like accidentally, i heard that one of the most deadly accidents for teenagers is running off the road. I want to know why that happens and how to prevent it
