From the terrible sound of MMH (they’ve slightly improved this season), scandalous reveal video dedicated to Jada last season, a personal altercation he had on campus, & publicly humiliating his members, he’s a PROBLEM. Crown Shay Last season they made a Stingette reveal video after tryouts. It was the tryout where Jada was cut because of her being overweight (🤬🙄). He’s shaded her in the video; basically saying “Stingettes are supposed to keep their bodies in shape.” On top of that, Bridgette didn’t like Jada. It was disgusting and nasty of him and Bridgette.

In an effort to assert power and authority he made a conscious CHOICE to embarrass, disrespect, and deprecate her in front of the world. I say the world because he knows how far her reach goes and he wanted to berate her for all to see. The fact that he chose to belittle our young Black Queen in public like this shows me he lacks the professionalism and tact that comes with the position that Alabama State University has entrusted him with. As a leader he has shown these young adults how to be abrasive and disrespectful and I hope and pray Alabama State University suspends him for a few games to re-evaluate his continued tenure at this prestigious University. I’m sure ASU does not want to be known as the school that allows its staff to continue this type of behavior to our young black students. It’s embarrassing and uncalled for. It shows how much talent the Stingettes have to switch leads while the song was playing. A stunt like this director pulled just causes confusion. Jada did an excellent job providing that she was not prepared to lead. This director has caused more division on the dance squad. I thought it was the former coordinator, but the problem comes from the top. He needs to focus on the band, and leave the girls alone.
He’s the main reason why the Stingettes can’t maintain crab classes for more than one season. If you look at the Stingettes history, most crabs don’t return after their first year. Most of these young ladies don’t wanna deal with all his foolishness for 2-3 seasons. It’s bad enough Stingettes can only dance 3 years unless you make captain as a 4th yr dancer.
Patrice Jones That’s a shame, too. The Stingettes could rule the SWAC, but because of internal conflict, these girls will always hold back. Not only that, the public can see these issues. I hope that your daughter has found some other activity that she enjoys while in school.

Looking back at this now, with hearing from Janae herself in her interview, and watching jada dance from the recent trin video, honestly we all were wrong. Janae didn't go into detail, but she did ask Jada to lead and do march out because she was just over what Olivia did to her, but still didn't want to let her team down. Jada is an amazing dancer, but I can't imagine how hard it was to have to lead under those circumstances to really showcase how badass she is. The fact it seems like even she is not coming back says a lot. Now I still won't say there wasnt tension between them though because from other videos I've seen, looks don't lie. But, they got through a great season regardless of the bs and that's what matters.

First of all, it's not easy for an HBCU's band to survive in popularity minus a dance team. There's only one to my liking based solely on musicianship 🐍and it's not ASU. He is suppose to praise in public and criticize in private. He screwed that up big time😡.

From the terrible sound of MMH (they’ve slightly improved this season), scandalous reveal video dedicated to Jada last season, a personal altercation he had on campus, & publicly humiliating his members, he’s a PROBLEM. Crown Shay Last season they made a Stingette reveal video after tryouts. It was the tryout where Jada was cut because of her being overweight (🤬🙄). He’s shaded her in the video; basically saying “Stingettes are supposed to keep their bodies in shape.” On top of that, Bridgette didn’t like Jada. It was disgusting and nasty of him and Bridgette.
Some of y'all did the same thing with Amber. If your "FAV" is not in front...all you do is bash bash bash.

First of all Jada did amazing great job to her. Now as for the way this Band Director handle Captain Janae is vile and disgusting. In an effort to assert power and authority he made a conscious CHOICE to embarrass, disrespect, and deprecate her in front of the world. I say the world because he knows how far her reach goes and he wanted to berate her for all to see. The fact that he chose to belittle our young Black Queen in public like this shows me he lacks the professionalism and tact that comes with the position that Alabama State University has entrusted him with. As a leader he has shown these young adults how to be abrasive and disrespectful and I hope and pray Alabama State University suspends him for a few games to re-evaluate his continued tenure at this prestigious University. I’m sure ASU does not want to be known as the school that allows its staff to continue this type of behavior to our young black students. It’s embarrassing and uncalled for. What happend
It shows how much talent the Stingettes have to switch leads while the song was playing. A stunt like this director pulled just causes confusion. Jada did an excellent job providing that she was not prepared to lead.
This director has caused more division on the dance squad. I thought it was the former coordinator, but the problem comes from the top. He needs to focus on the band, and leave the girls alone.
He’s the main reason why the Stingettes can’t maintain crab classes for more than one season. If you look at the Stingettes history, most crabs don’t return after their first year. Most of these young ladies don’t wanna deal with all his foolishness for 2-3 seasons. It’s bad enough Stingettes can only dance 3 years unless you make captain as a 4th yr dancer.
Patrice Jones That’s a shame, too. The Stingettes could rule the SWAC, but because of internal conflict, these girls will always hold back. Not only that, the public can see these issues.

Looking back at this now, with hearing from Janae herself in her interview, and watching jada dance from the recent trin video, honestly we all were wrong. Janae didn't go into detail, but she did ask Jada to lead and do march out because she was just over what Olivia did to her, but still didn't want to let her team down. Jada is an amazing dancer, but I can't imagine how hard it was to have to lead under those circumstances to really showcase how badass she is. The fact it seems like even she is not coming back says a lot. Now I still won't say there wasnt tension between them though because from other videos I've seen, looks don't lie. But, they got through a great season regardless of the bs and that's what matters.

This video makes me so freakin' mad😡. I was in the band with Janae's mom when she was a dancer. I met Janae recently and she was so cool. I take this ish personal. First of all, it's not easy for an HBCU's band to survive in popularity minus a dance team. There's only one to my liking based solely on musicianship 🐍and it's not ASU. He is suppose to praise in public and criticize in private. He screwed that up big time😡.
That poor child.. I felt really bad for Janae at the end. Her expressions were so unbarelble to watch. I actually watched the other video with him walking over. As a leader you never conduct yourself like this in public. He literally embaressed this student and she was humiliated. I do not see anything wrong with what she was doing.. This is the Stingette style right? They have always danced like this. Always. As it relates to professionalism the director did not conduct himself in a manner that was professional . His candor is NOT a good representation of Alabama State. If we demand for the students to do right then we in turn as higher education professionals need to do the same exact thing. The director should lead by example. He should definantly be wrote up for humilating the student in the way that he did. Janae if you ever read this just know that the bible tells us that offenses are going to come. Look to the Lord who has all the answers. From the very first game as captain in the apperance of CAT WOMAN you captured so many peoples attention around the world. You are an inspiration to all. bettyboophot6 It’s Jada leading who’s actually a vet. She got cut last year because of her “weight”. She should’ve been captain last year over Yaz but Dr. O, I believe basically cut her because of her weight and made a public announcement about it body shaming her. So Jada auditioned again this year and humbly danced behind Janae.
