And that is part of their sketch is that they get hired to do voice phishing but are really bad at it. So that scene is a nod to their on going sketch in that show at the time. I know it's supposed to be comedic, but watching Bong Soon's dad being treated like that it's just sad. It's honestly domestic violence no more no less, but since it's a man being beaten it wasn't taken seriously. Luckily it's just that one scene that goes that far as far as I remember.
