Sir I have one doubt thus the stiffness of spring depends on shape or is it independent ? If I have same material spring one is circular and one of square will the stiffness change in both cases for same load acting ?

This is amazing. Is there an equation for a helix with square cross-section? And to generalize, is there some equation or formula that can be used to obtain equations of helices with *other* types of cross-sections, like parabolas?
