I'd really love a 13-inch version, but with a state-of-the-art Snapdragon processor, like an 8+ gen1.. I understand that e-ink screens have their limitations in terms of speed, but we should look beyond just the e-ink display. For instance, it would be great to use the same tablet for presentations by connecting it to a projector or big screen. Additionally, the ability to connect it to a Boox Mira Pro for dual-screen work, complete with a keyboard and mouse, running multiple tasks and applications concurrently, and enjoying background music through external speakers would be fantastic. It should also support opening heavy office documents and more. To facilitate these functions, an extra USB port or a port with mini-HDMI output and a headphone jack might be necessary. These are a range of features that the current CPU cannot handle. Of course, it's unlikely that such a product would be released due to its potential high cost and limited market, but if it were available, I'd purchase it, even if it meant paying for it over several years. Moreover, a more powerful processor would ensure better long-term durability and compatibility with a wider range of apps, unlike the processors stuck with Android 10, such as the one in the Boox Note Air 1.
The problem is that's OVERKILL for E-INK, E-INK can't refresh fast enough to take advantage of that processing power. Think about the phones that have those chips, most of them are 90Hz or more devices. The poor refresh rate of E-INK means it can't do a lot of things that would require processing like gaming, video watching, emulation, etc.
Seems strange to put a different writing surface on their new devices. I will probably go for the note air c. I live in Australia. Down here the government skips charging 10% sales tax on most imported goods under $1000 Aussie dollars. So while there is only $150 difference in the purchase price, the TUCP will go over the threshold and incur sales tax as well which makes the price quite significant.
I think that the writing surface reflects the different use cases. Note Air 3 C more for writing on the screen, Tab Ultra C Pro for using productivity apps, (better clarity of the screen.)
What about without front light ? Why do pppl get these devices to take care of their eyesights and then use them with a forntlight ? 🤔 I’m extremely sensitive to light, so I’m searching for a review where they’ll actually show the screens without frontlight.
I need to be able to either back up to external drive or sync to my Mac. I am not interested in the iPad...it's totally inferior as an e-ink tablet. My aim is to get away from paper, have a paper feel, but also have more flexibility of what I can use the e-ink tablet for (writing on PDF's, reading books, drawing) and have it feel more like paper. So I like the idea of the Tab Ultra C or C Pro. I tried the Remarkable 2 years ago, but it wouldn't sync with my Mac and I returned it. Any suggestions?
A firmware update is need in Boox note taking app : 1. The ability to create table of contents like in superonte a5x and a6x 2. link star should be like supernote do you could know it is registered.
Isn't the primary purpose of an e-ink display is to go away from the screen illumination? How does the screen illumination of this device differ from light emitted from an LCD or an OLED display? Has anyone measured the amount of light (blue) radiation between these devices? If the Tab Ultra C Pro had a b/w screen, would you have missed the color, or would the device have been less productive?
From what I understand led and Oled devices send the light directly into your eyes while a glowlight illuminates the screen. The light is less direct and hence less hurtful.
Hiya, yeah, there was a black and white version and it was brilliant, but I think that colour e-ink is now good enough to make it a really useful thing to have when using various android apps. Also, e-ink screens are just so good looking even with the frontlight on. In general, reflected light is better for your eyes.
JUST GET a normal Android tab and put paper-like screen protector on top! Making an android e-ink tab with the same price range as a normal baseline ipad or galaxy tab just doesn't make sense! This device would only make sense if the price drops drastically!
Bought Tab Ultra C Pro . Nothing is Pro about this thing. Writing experience is VERY BAD. Noteshelf 3 on Ipad is years a head ; better response , much better letancy , much better accuracy , much much better app. I use sensetivity on , 0.7 thicknes , fountain pen on the noteshelf 3 on my Ipad as a normal handwriting and the results are much more precise and easier to write and much better print results then the Boox. You tube Vlogers don't tell you the all truth. The E ink devices sucks for writing. I was a fool to buy it. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY - BOTH IPAD PEN ON NOTESHELF 3 AND E- INK DEVICE AND SEE FOR YOUSELF !!!

Sounds like the dream, although none of that would be cheap!

Exactly, need to see tabXC
Are the ultra c keyboard case pogo pins easy to unintentionally accidentally disconnect? Sparodic disconnects whilst typing would be annoying.
I didn't find that, but other users have reported it, so perhaps it is a legitimate worry.
People forget sometimes that Boox tab is reader, not like Samsung tab and not like Apple ipad
In the past has Boox given any discount on their products in the Black Friday sale ?
I don't recall, sorry. I don't expect they will on their very latest devices though!
Will you review the Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Twist? colour elink window laptop
I would like to, but it's not something I can justify buying, and Lenovo don't return my calls.
Just wanted to drop in the comments and say hi. Have been busy with work. So i miss your live streams. Keep up the great content 👏 have a great day.

Is there any difference with the equipment on the ONYX page? Apparently it is the best option for Latin America.

People go for e-ink devices for not hurting their eyes as LCD/OLED does. You compare apples and oranges
What is your experience on studying on it ?
Academic books ..etc
