From what l have heard Chan wrote Social Path about his experience of leaving his family as a young teenager in Australia to train with JYP for seven years, the loneliness and depression he experienced as fellow trainees either debuted or were cut from the program and his determination in the end to rise above it. I think that having gone through the process of picking the individual members, seeing both Felix and Lee Know being axed in the reality show and then being reinstated has really bonded all of them so closely so now they are definitely confident on their own path even though over the years they have faced continuous criticism because they do not conform to the typical KPop formula.

I see the red as portraying those who have reach their goal, or feel and acknowledge that they are in the correct path leading to their goal. LiSA is a very popular singer in Japan, and we see here on a platform wearing red, bathed in red light. SKZ is across the chasm from her and she is helping to show them what is possible on the other side. They find eachother, tear a whole in reality (creating their own path) and find joy in what they've accomplished and how far they've come- always working together.

Two of my favorite RUclipsrs reacting to my favorite group. The first I really listened to Social Path, that first line hit hard because, especially Chan, they really did give up their youth to pursue the dream. My son and I talked about the dichotomy in songs that have these really cheery, boppy sounds with serious lyrics. Love what they do.
