I just purchased this Anaconda 8 inch revolver and I’m picking it up several days from now. It’s a supermodel compared to all others I was looking at in the case.
Wilson Combat offers a new steel improved adjustable rear sight and front sight for the Colt 2021 revolvers. Your Anaconda 2021 deserves these new offered sights from Wilson Combat.
Awesome snake gun review. I like the practical features Colt has implemented in their new design. Grips and sights are interchangeable with all the new snake guns.
Just picked up this in 8” and the magnum research BFR 45-70 from a collector friend of mine. I love both. I’m really loving the BFR. He had a Burris fast fire on it and zeroed it at 50 yards. Low and behold with that monster I was shooting 1” and a half groupings at 50 yards first day out. So shout out to Mr. Bob for being very accurate when zeroing anything he touches.
The new Anaconda 2021 uses the same action as the new Colt Python does. The best double action 44 magnum made today. Beautiful double action smooth pull trigger. Can use Hammer Head loads of 330 grains.
@Tuco 86 yeah I just picked up my 8” yesterday from shoot point blank Louisville. The past week everything there has gone up 100-300$ but luckily I placed the conda on layaway before the latest increase so I believe I paid a hair over 1500$ all together. They had a 6” python a few months before at the same price that I had put on layaway but I backed out and got an ap5 full size instead. Still kicking myself in the ass over that one
Excellent review....no gibberish just honest opinion backed up with results, bravo! I took the fall and had a winning bid online....$2000....they're nonexistent unless you virtually win the lottery and happen into a gun shop somewhere right after they get a shipment and they were blessed to get a snake gun or two, and no-one on the staff bought it up! I consider myself lucky to have won the bid @ $2000 and the funny thing is that was my limit. So got it and the thing is honestly a work of art....I love polishing this thing and working that action! Unfortunately I'm not that rich with .44 mag ammo, and nobody has any so it'll be a light day on the range this weekend. Big bore revolvers are a weak spot for me....some would say I've more money than brains....now I've less money!
Garret Cartridges of Texas makes the 330 grain hard cast gas-check hammer head 44 magnum load that makes the 44 magnum capable of dropping the largest game up to elephant. Amazingly deep and straight penetration.
Nice shooting. That 44 has a lot of bark and bite. I shoot a 6" 629 S&W that the grip doesn't wrap all the way around at the rear. I find the 629 easy to control and very smooth. With hunting loads it will get your attention however. That Colt, with the 8" barrel, would make a fine hunting revolver.
When it comes to the Anaconda, only the 8" will do if you have to choose between the 8" and 6". The factory rubber Hogue grips that come on the Anacondas are not made correctly. When you fire the revolver, the bottom of the grip slides forward making the lower grip frame stick out the back of the rubber grip. No matter what is done, this happens after only a few shots. I installed walnut grips from Altamont that are similar to the factory checkered wooden grips on the Python. Problem solved and the new wooden grips look much nicer than the rubber grips.
Cool video, nice review, one handed shooting an Anaconda….nice…I recently bought the 6” Anaconda, fell in love at first sight….it just looks g.u.d……ran a box of 44 specials through it first, just to get the feel of it….not too bad, then took a break and shot shot my Ruger GP100 .357 mag., didn’t like the trigger press compared to the Anaconda, sold it and got a Colt Python.357 mag, with wood grips, haven’t shot it yet….loaded the Anaconda with 44 mag. Yup it gets your attention, still nothing too terrible in recoil, I expected much worse….and I’m a normal size dude…but I did change the front and rear sights to Wilson Combat gold dot front and serrated “square” target rear sight, as the factory rear sight was loose, as stated in many reviews ( bad choice… Colt), anyway I completed the trifecta with a recent purchase of Colts KingCobra 22LR-10, my new snake pit is now complete…. Safe shooting y’all….now….. SEND IT….
Beautiful Gun! I picked up the 6"model from my local Gun Shop for $1475.00. I just happened to be there at the right time. Thanks for posting the review!
@@goldfishman6134 both 6" and 8" are good. Depends on personal preference. If you're a larger person you should get the 8". If you're smaller get the 6"
I gotta get one!I have 2 KC and a NC and want this one over the python due to a different caliber.hsa python look which is badazz but in 44 magnum!a must buy for my snake collection.
Excellent review. I got lucky and captured the 8" version the other day. I'll be switching to Python grips so they both match. This will be enough Colt for me for a while. Would you mind posting a link to that fiber optic boresight? That looked pretty cool!
That wonderful revolver weighs exactly the same as my five-round 5 inch barrel with a muzzle brake 460 S&W magnum X-frame revolver. Also weighs the same as my five-round 6.5 inch semi-lug barrel ported 500 S&W magnum X-frame revolver.
Excellent up to date video on the 2021 Anaconda. Colt revolvers are scarce as hens' teeth. I have been searching for an Anaconda checking my local gun shops regularly. I think most gun shops are selling them for $3000 to $5000 on the online auction sites and keeping them out of display cases. Does anyone know how many Anacondas Colt has produced so far?
I paid under $600 for my smith & wesson 629 classic I love this gun it doesn’t have issues! Colt is just trying to copy them they have a long long way to go
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL REVOLVER. PERIOD.
Just wait until you see one in person.....they are beautiful!

You are so damn right brother.
Hands down!
My favorite gun finally again in production 44 magnum Anaconda Baby! 😎
Holy moly those groupings at the beginning with the DA trigger.
Thank you.
should've stuck around for the SA group at the end!!
That’s some DA shooting to envy!

Beautiful snake that Anaconda Colt 44 magnum.
Picking up a 6" tomorrow with a 4" Python. Once in a lifetime purchase!
Good for you brother 👏
@@jameswheat4225 Been waiting my whole 52 years to get one and then my FFL had the Python come in same day so i had to grab them both.
You will love it.

@@Rhythmicons Me too! One day it'll go back to normal and we can grab what we want when we want.

Action on mine is like glass. It's amazing. Also got it for under MSRP
If you don’t mind my asking, where did you go to get it below MSRP?
Bull crap you did.
When shootpointblank 1st posted it back in April. Was shocked. But they've since raised it $100 over MSRP

Just picked up an 8 inch for 1699...
Shooting that tight grouping at 0:14 with a 44mag revolver is as impressive as the gun itself
Thank you.
No it is not buddy, you have an 8'' Solid Gun at 10 yards. Fun yes, impressive mmmmm nah.

Wow.
The one thing I wish colt would do is change the cylinder release to a push, instead of a pull.
Is this a limited run production or is it still being produced?
"All of the snake guns have the exposed back strap"
...except the Cobra and the King Cobra
Do you know if the frame is forged or investment cast
Do you know if the new python barrels taper like the old ones?
I picked one up at Emerald Valley Armory in Creswell, Oregon.
$1,499.00. Great gun, heavy recoil. Love it!, getting the barrel ported.
Why is 8 inch so rare?
That's what she said...
That trigger has a little creep in single action.
