Trust me, equipping yourself with knowledge about the repercussions of porn alone is never going to be sufficient. It needs spiritual knowledge as well and plenty of it. It takes Love, Spirituality, God, and self will to fight this Demon off. It's not easy. This Demon in my opinion will never fully die, but whether it remains dormant or Dominant is upto us. Reason why I say that is because sexual urges will never cease to exist , you need as many tools as possible to deal with it and put it in its place

    • @exelmans8855

Hurts realizing that the years I should have been building life, social, relationship and job skills were spent watching pr0n. I just turned 34 and have no real job skills and no chance at having a family. I'm just looking forward to when my parents, friends, and dog are gone so I can do myself in without guilt. This ruined my life, even if I quit and try to build a life, it'd be like trying to build a home on an unstable foundation. There's no sense wasting the time, it'd be better if I stop consuming space, resources, and oxygen that would be better suited for someone who deserves life

I reached the exact same conclusions as you the same year my brother committed suicide. After seeing what that did to my family, how much they question themselves, how much they blame themselves for his passing, I concluded I could not revisit that on them by doing myself in. Sure, I'm a middle aged loser dwelling in my parents' attic, very belatedly turning the tables on a porn habit. But...if I love my family and mean them no harm, how can I justify repeating that trauma on them?
I have the dubious benefit of having seen what a suicide does to a family. Please believe me when I tell you, you are doing nobody any favours by taking that route. They won't thank you or breathe a sigh of relief - they will blame themselves, and you will have done that to them. I won't lie to you and pretend I just up and stopped being suicidal - that may not be a thing that happens to people. But I find reasons to live, and one of them was realising that I love my parents, and suicide absolutely did not benefit them one single bit. When you close that door behind you, other ones you've never opened before become viable.
The second thing I'd like to share is that I'm doing my second apprenticeship at the age of 36. It really isn't too late to start learning, or changing. Take a look around you and think about what you're interested in. Haven't you ever read or watched something that caught your eye and thought "actually, that's really exciting, how do I get involved in that?"
I'm not asking you to summon up and contribute to anything, but yourself. When you see yourself as the project, you can begin to see how small steps make your own life better. You can give yourself new skills. You can end old habits. Keep that in mind, and live on.

Ty.. really appreciate your work. Im wondering if you would consider sometime updating this for the big AI shift underway. The big companies out there leading the way are unethically scraping images on the net with no regard to copyright and ..this inevitably includes porn filled with victims. This poses damage to victims in a truly unprecedented way. To prevent this we are going to need scraping laws and for that we need awareness. Nevertheless, thank you again for what you do!

It’s not just accessibility that makes todays porn so incredibly different from old school porn (playboy) before porn meant watching two people have sex, and required mentally blotting out an entire human being, the participant you weren’t sexually interested in, today with POV porn, it Submerses the user into the experience, allowing them to get as close as possible to actually engaging in the act on the screen with who they are looking at. you don’t even need VR goggles. It’s crazy.

Yeah...no. I'm going to keep watching porn. I'm 5'5, not rich, and still working on growing myself as a person and through whatever career paths I choose. I'm not completely jacked or roided up either. No women out there for me until I get some money. There are those of us out there that still need the stimulation from pornography. I know plenty of women who use porn to avoid having to be in relationships with dudes because they were cheated on repeatedly.
Anyone who watches porn and walks away believing that real sex is like that is just an idiot. That's not the fault of pornography, but the fault of somebody that probably believes Jurassic Park was based on a true events.

Yeah, porn will erode your ability to establish and maintain healthy, satisfying relationships with women. You are hiding from the complexities of relationships, by short cutting to the orgasm.Eventually you will be emotionally and socially crippled and you will telegraph this to women without knowing it.Then you will have a self-fulfilling prophecy: your porn habit will make you relate to women in shallow and self absorbed ways and they won't respond to you as a fully functioning adult male. Then you'll blame them because you are selfish, short sighted and immature.Get off porn and learn to be available for healthy relationships with all the complexities and difficulties they may bring. I speak from experience here, friend.I am an addiction counselor and porn addicts are just as sick and self-destructive as crackheads.
