That is the big problem. There is no way to compare these two. Just because they are action cams. At most you can show what is lost with the huge price difference. It looks the same but it doesn't
There are two big differences between these cameras. One of it is the microphone. The second one is that the Hero 5 is actually packed with a 12 MP sensor which as you can see is able to create a nice sharpness in detail and performs much better at lowlight. The Eken H9R operates with a 4 MP sensor, which doesn't really support 4k. To compensate that the contrast is very high and the noise in detail is mostly degital filtered out. The Eken is a nice action cam for beginners or amateurs, but if you want real good material and have to film in hard conditions you should take the Gopro...

hero has a slight better dynamic range, and noise artifacts(in that 500%) Real life use with such a wide angle view, color grading(if you can reduce contrast and saturation) the Eken should do a good job. And for the price, i can get 7 ekens for 1 go pro...(local prices)

For those who didn't understand - eken is saturating and sharpening the colors to look better but it also creating grains...most importantly you will know the difference when editing... its like dslr raw file compared to mobile phone jpeg... don't fall for washed out colors... eken can never beat go pro...
I have a copy of the Eken H9R, called "Waltter Move 500", and it is just perfect for the price. Only complaints I can tell are the quiet mic and poor 720p quality. But the 1080p30/60 settings are crystal clear, and the 2.7k30 and 4k25 settings are quite noisy but they allow more quality if uploaded to RUclips. Overall I'd happily recommend the Eken/Waltter Move 500/other copies of it, because for a camera so cheap, it offers very much. Nice comparison, by the way :) It shows that cheap cameras can sometimes get close to higher priced ones in quality. Just don't expect way too much from an action cam which costs 30-60 dollars.

Eken feels too sharp on a sunny day, but when it comes to low-light places or you place the eken not directly facing the sun the eken will produce the same photo or video results as when you look in the mirror. For me, every product has a weakness, it only depends on how you present and accompanied by information for each action taken in the field.

The Eken gives a sharper, more vibrant picture, but the GoPro Hero gives better sound. Eken also needs to tone down its sharpness ratio as the increased sharpness gives increased video noise. The sunset video also is better with the Hero in that it catches the oranges and warmer colors. Eken clearly favors the cooler colors at the expense of the warmer ones. The best camera would be one that's between the two. For the price, Eken is the way to go. Wow.

Ну ежу понятно что EKEN получает "HD" путём интерполяции а у GoPro разрешение более настоящее. Но при этом картинка более контрастная и сочная получается у китайца...А если принять во внимание разницу в цене почти в 7-10 раз, то однозначно рулит китаец ))
Well... h9 can capture 1080p, but h9r can capture 4k, and of course as it was mentioned, you´ll get remote controller for h9r, but it cannot be paired with h9

Please remind your viewers that this camera WILL NOT accept a 12v charging cable while being used as a car dash cam. Here is the reply from Banggood: "According to your last email, you want to use the camera with the charger connected but failed, right? After consulted with our supplier, the H9 sport action camera is not designed to use with a charger connected" Otherwise, I am very happy with the video and audio performance from this little camera.
Another email from seller says the camera is not designed to be used as a dash cam, thus it will not accept a charging cable. I use the Eken solely on my motorcycle helmet figuring that my local city trips will be 1.5 hr or less. So far the 1.5 hr charge is right on. Here is last reply: "We have consulted with our supplier about your request. According to their answer, it is because that using H9 with the charger connected will do some unexpected damage to both the camera and battery since H9 is designed as a portable camera but not a fixed one. The technology used in making this item is not for using as a dash cam connect to a power supply. So we are sorry that you may just use it specifically as an action cam or underwater video and so on."

A Gopro tem uma imagem um pouco melhor, porém,custa 8x mais cara e a Eken tem uma imagem ótima para oq precisamos que é gravar em ação.

For me, what really lets down the EKEN is the Audio. It's a bit muffled and only records in MONO.

Great Work! I like colors on the EKEN better even though the Image on the GoPro is crisper but for that Price...

the eken doesn't have vertical line curvature correction. Maybe you like the fisheye look.
u can remove the fisheye by removing the lens and replacing it with the non distortion lens

İ like 1080p with 60fps. But in darkness, like underwater, lower fpss would be better. Try 1080 with 30fps

Well... h9 can capture 1080p, but h9r can capture 4k, and of course as it was mentioned, you´ll get remote controller for h9r, but it cannot be paired with h9

Please remind your viewers that this camera WILL NOT accept a 12v charging cable while being used as a car dash cam. Here is the reply from Banggood: "According to your last email, you want to use the camera with the charger connected but failed, right? After consulted with our supplier, the H9 sport action camera is not designed to use with a charger connected"
Otherwise, I am very happy with the video and audio performance from this little camera.
Another email from seller says the camera is not designed to be used as a dash cam, thus it will not accept a charging cable. I use the Eken solely on my motorcycle helmet figuring that my local city trips will be 1.5 hr or less. So far the 1.5 hr charge is right on. Here is last reply: "We have consulted with our supplier about your request. According to their answer, it is because that using H9 with the charger connected will do some unexpected damage to both the camera and battery since H9 is designed as a portable camera but not a fixed one.
The technology used in making this item is not for using as a dash cam connect to a power supply.
So we are sorry that you may just use it specifically as an action cam or underwater video and so on."
