this is so beautiful. i almost cried while listening the whole song for the first time. this is insane. i dont get it why people dont like edm or dubstep. so many people find it too weird or loud or sometimg. they just have no feeling with dubstep. while it can be so beautiful...
Before I met edm i listened to all kind of music, pop music for its great vocals, metal music for its energy, jazz music for its musicality, but it never came together. Then I somehow came across a DnB mix on RUclips, listened and "hmm, not bad!" - I said. I realized that EDM can be very intresting music. Next, by analogy, i looked for different mixes, such as melodic dubstep, or future bass, and in most casses it was great music. It was unexpectable because all i heard of EDM was various types of house music, something like Avichi or Martin Garrix, and various cringy !OFFICIAL! dubstep or house remixes of pop music. And it gave the impression that if Avichi and others are TOP and those offical remixes are COOL, then EDM is some kind of third-rate music and there is nothing that would interest to me. But, gradually during the months with Spotify help i came across various non popular artists, somethings like Seven Lions, Jasson Ross, Cryistal Skies, and etc. Then I went to rushdown party with their extraterrestrial color bass vibe and plunged headlong into this world of the underground, i could not even imagine that there is such a thing in the wrold of edm. And now I understand that electronic music has absolutely everything. Best vocals, energy and musicality. There is everything possible. No need to go far, this track is already a good example - cool bass sound design with awesome rhythm, great Danyka's vocals, cool space and retrowave vibe. On rushdown records, all thse charactecistis are multiplied by infinity (execpt for vocal, because it is very very undergound and no access to the best vocalists) I like the fact that there are absolutely no boundaries, this music is not afriad of being incomperhensible, it is created by musicans for musicans or produsers. Each artists has their own incredibly cool and recognizable style. For expample Chime with its chiptune sound, Sharks with its watery sound design, Skybreak with its jazz influence and many others. This is a infinite world that you never get tired of exploring, and for an ordinary lisener who does not understand anything about music, it is just like noise. It's like teaching a 5 years baby quantum physics. A couple of years ago, when I listened dubstep , i laughed and i was wandering at the fact that someone really listens to this, and now i myself listen to the craziest dubstep tracks with pleasure and incredible sense of delight. I think i answer to the question "why people don't like edm or dubstep"
