for those who don't know, in this type of something rising MC game, if you wait until the lava height is 1 block below you, and then dig 3 block below you and immediately cover the top with a block, you can survive under the lava height and the lava would not go to your hole

I loved the block rising videos, and seeing you're doing some older style video again I recommend you do one of these again!
Make a dirt box that is 3 blocks tall. When the box fills with lava, use buckets to remove the lava from the center.
At the last second, make a roof at the third block up.

If I was in, my strat would be:
1. Get stone pickaxe and loads of dirt and cobble
2. Get iron pick, bucket and sword (maybe armor) use bucket to get water, and then get loads of seeds
3. Get more cobble then build up
4. Make a small box of dirt then farm wheat for bread
5. Boom u got infinite food
Edit: maybe also get another bucket and put lava in for self defense
