  • This trip we leave the Gold Coast and head to Canberra the back way. Taking the coast road initially we head inland after staying at Myall Lakes to bypass Sydney, going through some amazing country towns like we stop at Dundog, Denman, Bylong, Rylstone before stopping and camping at the beautifull Glenn Davis campground near the Glenn Davis old shale oil mine.
We then head south to Jenolan before camping at Yerranderie the old ghost town, that was a silver mining town in it's hey day.
We head to Wombeyan caves that are also closed and soon leave for a quick stop at the Taralga Hotel before heading to Crookwell and onto Gunning were we stay the night in the Showgrounds, great facilities newly built bathrooms at no charge.
From Gunning we head to Yass and onto Wee Jasper an amzing scenic drive with a great Distilery. From Wee Jasper we head to Cotter Campground which is only 23km from Canberra, we stay the night with great entertainment and a campfire before leaving to Canberra in the morning.
