Let me eDumaCatE y'all. In the original language in Genshin Impact which is Chinese for Mihoyo is a Chinese company, it was CLEARLY STATED THE THEY'RE SWORN BROTHERS. In chinese culture, a sworn brother/sibling is a person who is with you through thick and thin and you treat them like a real sibling but you DON'T ACTUALLY ADOPT THEM. The english dub poorly translated that part for the lack of term I guess. So frankly speaking, Kaeya was never adopted into the family but treated like family. Those are two different things. I even found stories or dramas where sworn siblings even end in romantic relationships like lovers.
If that is not enough to convince any of you and keep pressing on that they are aDoPteD BroTHErs, you might wanna remember that Mondstadt was based off of Germany and FYI it is legal to marry your adopted siblings in that country. So, in even on legal standpoint, no rules are broken, only the pride of those people who can not accept it just because they lack research. And for the final blow, Kaeya left after the whole incident in the manga and changing his last name, breaking all connections to Diluc. That makes all that more sense right.
Now that that's done I will now be back to listening to these song. Shout out for those who watch this to actually enjoy Diluc and Kaeya sing. Y'all cool🙂

In the Chinese version they’re actually sworn brothers (Like ppl with a really close relationship or smth theres probs more to it) but there was a mistranslation somehow
And when it said somewhere in the game that Kaeya was “adopted”, it wasn’t really the correct way of saying it so he isn’t official adopted (there wasn’t really any actual paperwork)
But a lot of ppl (especially westerners) don’t know what it means or ignore it (tho if u just see a brotherly relationship that’s fine but they CAN be shipped)
