Very helpful, I got the same fairing for my Can-Am Outlander. Thank you so much ! P.s. I found out its easier to remove just the black plastic at the bottom first then remove the windshield.
I like it, fantastic looking fairing. Wish I had seen this before I spent money on 3 different windshields. But at least I found a windshield I like. Maybe in the future I will get this set up as well. Great info thank you.
Byker Dog I purchased the BRP one and that is only good for the city. I then purchased the MadStad 18” and that was good but you can’t get into the frunk without hassle. Are you able to get into the frunk with the fairing on? Then I settled for the F4 Customs windshield and that is expensive but the best one I have found. I have a video on it check it out. Thanks.
The U shaped piece that holds it in? Yes, but they give you these little rings that snap it to the windshield and those are a real pain to get off. I ended up ordering two more of those U shaped pieces from dealer.
How bad is the wind buffeting - if any. Mine I get a lot of buffeting. It is similar to your fairing. I've been told that you need to have an air access behind the bottom of the windscreen.
No you don't need to drill any holes for the controls. On your original handle bar there are holes for the wire clips, but we just left them hanging. Switching the handlebar is an easy project.
hello, does it not fit on the original handlebar? What is the diameter of your new handlebar and can you simply convert all switches and handles? Greetings, Willy from the Netherlands.
Hello, my name is Guillermo and I am writing to you from Spain. The video is great but I want to ask you a question: The fairing is fantastic and the handlebars with the rear-view mirrors spectacular. Can you tell me where I can get one for my Can-Am Ryker from Spain? I want the full set of handlebars, mirrors, and big screen. Thanks a lot.
@@BykerDog I ordered my parts today, plus Can Am have a 20% discount right now on many part. Can't wait to try it because the wind is too much on highway.
Thanks for the video. I do have one question. I went ahead and did this and wanted to know if you lost access to your "Frunk" did I do something wrong or when the fairing is on do you lose the ability to open the Frunk? Thanks again for the great video. Bike looks great
Yes I did lose access to the frunk. To me it's worth it. Could not get much in that tiny thing anyway. I just keep stuff in there that I don't really need handy, tools, tire Guage etc.
I ordered from Amazon. Fairing: amzn.to/2Cs8Rb1 Mirrors: amzn.to/32AaduU High windshield : amzn.to/3jmmHMT Low windshiled: amzn.to/39bQGlI Extra high windshield: amzn.to/3hkRfMT
Byker Dog throne I have is the view she has on the medium or one in the middle size, and sometimes I find myself looking over it or under it. My windshield attaches to the handlebars. I am 5’6”. The large on would be goo for rain. Crafty wife can make a Sherpa cover for the windshield. I did that for my clear helmet visor since I purchased tinted one.
You will find the big 15 inch model will not handle wind that great. I run the 6 inch model and spyderaustria runs the 11 inch model cut down i think to 8.5.
@@BykerDog nah, never will. I have cold weather gear. Vests and gloves battery operated are a godsend. I have them set on low most of the time riding 60 mph for 40 miles at 31 degrees.
What have you done to customize the interior of your fairing. I installed same fairing with x-large windshield and really like it. I would appreciate custome ideas for interior of fairing. Thanks. I enjoy your videios.
Bill, I haven't done the interior yet I am busy planning my wedding so the Ryker has been ignored lately. Will be working on it next month. I do want to install a USB port and some other stuff. Please let me know what your ideas are. Thanks!
I like the look of the shields. BTW - what is the total weight of the saddlebags and tail bag you added to your Ryker? Do you have an adjustable rear shock and, if so, did you have to increase the stiffness? Thanks a lot for your videos.
Byker Dog - thank you very much for the information. I was concerned because I weight 280 and I didn’t want to overload the rear shock. Thank you for sharing the info. Keep on riding!

Very helpful, thank you ✨🤗
You're welcome 😊
I have the small one, but get a lot of helmet buffeting. I have a 3/4 helmet with visor. So I got the large screen.
Yes that small windshield looks amazing i got to have it for my Ryker
I love the small one! I have not switched them out since I put it on.
@@BykerDog Yes very nice thanks for sharing it with us you are appreciated 😀
Thank you
Love the fairing… awesome idea
Thanks! I am getting ready to add a few things to the fairing, waiting on one more part.
I’m interested in the fairing
I ordered from Amazon. There are links in the video description

No can't access frunk. I am going to try and adjust the handlebars for access.
@@BykerDog were you able to adjust the handlebars with fairing to get into the frunk? I am still on the fence of getting this set up.
I have not messed with it yet. Have been crazy busy planning my wedding. I do want to work on that.
Love you two!!!
Thanks so much! We are having fun with the videos.
That fairing is AWESOME! And holy $hit is that Large windshield massive! Great vlog!
I'm not sure about that extra large one. It is crazy big! I am totally in love with the small one!
What size are the handlebars did you have to change them if so what size please
Yes I did have to change the handlebars, the link is in video description
How did you put the fairing
We had to get new handlebars, that was a pretty easy switch. All the parts we ordered are in the description.
can that black strip be removed without harming windshield?
The U shaped piece that holds it in? Yes, but they give you these little rings that snap it to the windshield and those are a real pain to get off. I ended up ordering two more of those U shaped pieces from dealer.
Waar koop je de windshield

I'm not sure I understand your question. Having the fairing cuts the wind on me much better than the stock windshield I had before.
Do you have access to the front storage while the fairing is installed?
No I don't
Who is the manufacturer of the fairing and windshields and where can I get it?
CanAm
I ordered them from Amazon, links are in the description. You also need a different handlebar. Was an easy install.

You need a different handlebar. I have a link in the description Everything fits on just fine the angles are different.
So let me understand this set up, you have to purchase new handlebar and all those pieces separately?
Yes the handlebars, fairing, and windshields are sold separately.

Hi Guillermo, I ordered all the parts from Amazon. The links to everything is in the comments of the video.

The Fairing do you need to get the new Handlebars or can you get the risers for the Stock Handle Bars ?
You need to get new handlebars, amzn.to/33CxjS2

Where can i find that faring .

Low windshiled: amzn.to/39bQGlI
Extra high windshield: amzn.to/3hkRfMT
And you need a different handlebar: amzn.to/33CxjS2
Did the smaller sheild break the wind on the body? I know you like the look but did it serve a purpose?
The small windshield does block some wind on your body. The fairing will also block some wind. Do you currently have a windshield on your bike?

I am not sure of the weight of the bags. I tried to find out on the Slingmods.com website but was unsuccessful. I have not adjusted the rear shock.
Old Man Jim, I received an email from Slingmods regarding the weight of the bags, they weigh approximately 31 pounds.
