After my wife and I wed, we both changed our last names to “Majere”, clearly after Raistlin Majere of the Dragonlance Chronicles. Interestingly enough, it was not the books that introduced me to this amazing wizard, but instead, it was this song. I first heard it back in high school, almost 20 years ago, on Blind Guardian’s live album. It saddened me that they do not seem to play it live often, as to me, it is the greatest song they ever crafted. Thank you for doing such a wonderful cover of this gem!
