Specter Knight is probably the most unfortunate character in gaming. Brought back to life against his will, losing his freedom, forced to bring together a group of knights to terrorize the land, and losing the phase locket, the single most important object in Specter Knight's life.

I don't understand why people voted for king knight, he has no interesting mechanics gameplay wise. I would have chosen treasure knight to be next because a game revolving around a hookshot sounds amazing to me. What do you think king knight will be able to do? Since it seems like he can only dash and spray cobfetti so far.
I'm not afraid to say that i actually preferred this ending instead of the original campaign. It was obvious that Shield knight would survive.. but i gotta say that this actually made me smile ^^
This is one of the best endings I’ve seen in any video game. The buildup, execution, and music are perfect. They even manage to made this side story somehow perfectly align with the main story. Yacht Club is absolutely brilliant.
Everyone is so happy except Spectre Knight. :( I hope King Knight's campaign is set AFTER the Enchantress is defeated, and we get a glimpse of a happy Spectre Knight. I don't want to think that without the Enchantress to keep him alive he'll go back to being dead. :(

These are DLC’s done right! I’m blown away that they completely changed the mechanics for each knight, so each DLC is really a new game in its own right.
The ending was good (and has a good hint at what Specter Knight's story would be about^^) but... well, there're some inconsistancies with Shovel's original ending and it bugs me, but that's nothing major of course^^ It gives an explanation to why the castle crumbled thou lol it kicks out the "final boss was the main wall of the structure" kind of non-explanation lol

Anyway, maybe we'll get some news on October 31st :p I doubt it. A man can dream lol

Maybe there's no memory loss at all, and he just want the locket (and maybe the other relics) for something else (power, fetish lol, resurrection of someone or himself...) That's all speculations and random ideas mind you, the point being the Phase Locket has significance for him and it's intriguing ! I do hope he'll be the next character to have his story too ! I'd have prefer King Knight because he's entertaining, but now that we have a hint at a good background for Specter, I definitively want him more !
Plague Knighy is such a great character: he had a potion that could have made him so much powerful, but in the end it wasn't what he wanted. He just wanted Mona's love, which once he realized he always had it, he thrown away the potion in order fo destroy the tower. Other characters would have drunk the potion at his place because power it's quite what many greedy characters want (looking at you King Knight....
No, you missed a few things. King Knight is a jerk and an idiot, who only wants to rule because he feels it's his right. He cares nothing for anyone but his mother, and even then, it's made pretty clear, he likely was going to leave them all to rot. He wasn't considering it, he was just being stupid and freezing up.

I love this DLC, it had such a satisfying storyline. For me the order goes Plague of Shadows > Shovel Knight > Spectre of Torment > The one I haven't played

I've got this awful thought for Specter's DLC Phase Locket is gone, obviously with Shovel Knight, and it's something he assigns value with. Recalling that Yacht Club had to nerf the Phase Locket because it was abused so much... I think Specter's gonna tug at lots of heartstrings in all he sad ways. If Plague's was adorable, and King's probably gonna be funny af, a dark one's gonna balance, heh. If Specter's story is targeted towards the Phase Locket abusers including me, we better get second thoughts when activating the locket

I think that since Plague Knight's story happens at the same time that Shovel Knight's story happens, maybe King Knight's story will happen before. It could be about how he stole the crown, took control of the Pridemoor Kingdom and got accepted as a member by the Order of No Quarter. It could also be about taking over Pridemoor Keep again after his defeat, but it's unlikely in my opinion because the developers seem to prefer happy and simple endings where evil doesn't triumph, even if the character is villain. Specter Knight's story could be in the future. As many have predicted, it could be about recovering the Phase Locket, but I think it will end with him being mortal again without being controlled by the Enchantress.
I think The Enchantress managed to make King Knight...well, the King. Personally, I would prefer it to happen after, since King Knight got the worse ending and seems to be... a bit angry.

If I'm not mistaken, they plan on doing 2 more playable bosses. Specter Knight seems like an obvious one for the next DLC, but after that what about Tinker Knight? Think about it from a game play perspective: You could find parts in levels to use to build your own little vehicles. Different parts have different effects on how the vehicle moves and attacks. I think he has potential to be a really cool playable character.

It would be amazing to see the other ones getting DLC too, even if it isn't free. I'd love to play as Propeller knight. I loved every boss in the game, but I had the luck to have my favourite ones chosen with the exception of Propeller knight.

So i think the plot order is: King of Cards: very beginning Specter of Torment: I placed this as second because the story of true beginning is told during this chapter. Shovel of hope Plague of Shadows: Plague knight was not fighting Enchantress and Mona confessed to blow the tower.
At the end of KoC it shows Specter Knight clutching the locket like he does in the Tower before travelling to a new area, so SoT and KoC overlap a small bit, then PoS, SoH, and eventually SKD. Showdown is likely noncannon, though it would likely come between Dig and SoH

Wandering Travelers: still fighting, Baz left Plague Knight Oolong and the Troupples: just vibing Treasure: got all the stuff he stole taken back and fucking died in a bombing off screen. Bard: got his sheets back Cooper: idk he probably became friends with Propeller again. Cardia: died along with her planet, thanks King Knight. King Birder: idk Missy: probably became a troupple acolyte, no idea what happened to her next. Percy: became Manager of the Explodatorium and probably fucks the magicist Plague: teaches alchemy, fixes machines, creates clones, experiments, became friends with Propeller, Mole and Tinker, became rich from all the stuff he stole from Treasure and also got himself knighted by Pridemor. He's in a love relationship with Mona now Mona: the same with Plague Knight except for the being knighted part. When she is not with her fiancé, she hangs out in Specter Knight's home and does the bottle challenge at the parties there. Chester: Chester got himself killed during the Siege of Sarajevo in 1995. Rip Chester, you will be missed

If you see the ending in Shovel of Hope, you'll see that Spectre Knight was able to survive even after the Enchantress was defeated.

These are DLC’s done right! I’m blown away that they completely changed the mechanics for each knight, so each DLC is really a new game in its own right.

The ending was good (and has a good hint at what Specter Knight's story would be about^^) but... well, there're some inconsistancies with Shovel's original ending and it bugs me, but that's nothing major of course^^

It could be yes ! ...But I think he'll try to get all the relics back from Shovel Knight for unknown purposes. My guess is he's trying to get his memory back. In that case, the relics would be mementos from his past life... maybe he wasn't as cruel as we are told ? Maybe he was cruel in his late life for some unknown, grim reasons ?
Anyway, maybe we'll get some news on October 31st :p I doubt it. A man can dream lol

Maybe there's no memory loss at all, and he just want the locket (and maybe the other relics) for something else (power, fetish lol, resurrection of someone or himself...) That's all speculations and random ideas mind you, the point being the Phase Locket has significance for him and it's intriguing !
I do hope he'll be the next character to have his story too ! I'd have prefer King Knight because he's entertaining, but now that we have a hint at a good background for Specter, I definitively want him more !

Plague Knighy is such a great character: he had a potion that could have made him so much powerful, but in the end it wasn't what he wanted. He just wanted Mona's love, which once he realized he always had it, he thrown away the potion in order fo destroy the tower. Other characters would have drunk the potion at his place because power it's quite what many greedy characters want (looking at you King Knight....

No, you missed a few things. King Knight is a jerk and an idiot, who only wants to rule because he feels it's his right. He cares nothing for anyone but his mother, and even then, it's made pretty clear, he likely was going to leave them all to rot. He wasn't considering it, he was just being stupid and freezing up.

I've got this awful thought for Specter's DLC
Phase Locket is gone, obviously with Shovel Knight, and it's something he assigns value with. Recalling that Yacht Club had to nerf the Phase Locket because it was abused so much... I think Specter's gonna tug at lots of heartstrings in all he sad ways. If Plague's was adorable, and King's probably gonna be funny af, a dark one's gonna balance, heh.
If Specter's story is targeted towards the Phase Locket abusers including me, we better get second thoughts when activating the locket

I think that since Plague Knight's story happens at the same time that Shovel Knight's story happens, maybe King Knight's story will happen before. It could be about how he stole the crown, took control of the Pridemoor Kingdom and got accepted as a member by the Order of No Quarter. It could also be about taking over Pridemoor Keep again after his defeat, but it's unlikely in my opinion because the developers seem to prefer happy and simple endings where evil doesn't triumph, even if the character is villain. Specter Knight's story could be in the future. As many have predicted, it could be about recovering the Phase Locket, but I think it will end with him being mortal again without being controlled by the Enchantress.
I think The Enchantress managed to make King Knight...well, the King. Personally, I would prefer it to happen after, since King Knight got the worse ending and seems to be... a bit angry.

If I'm not mistaken, they plan on doing 2 more playable bosses. Specter Knight seems like an obvious one for the next DLC, but after that what about Tinker Knight? Think about it from a game play perspective: You could find parts in levels to use to build your own little vehicles. Different parts have different effects on how the vehicle moves and attacks. I think he has potential to be a really cool playable character.
+igetboredproductions It does have potential as pretty much every other boss in the game, but as far as I know Specter knight and King Knight will be the ones getting the DLC treatment. It would be amazing to see the other ones getting DLC too, even if it isn't free. I'd love to play as Propeller knight. I loved every boss in the game, but I had the luck to have my favourite ones chosen with the exception of Propeller knight.

So i think the plot order is:
King of Cards: very beginning
Specter of Torment: I placed this as second because the story of true beginning is told during this chapter.
Shovel of hope
Plague of Shadows: Plague knight was not fighting Enchantress and Mona confessed to blow the tower.
At the end of KoC it shows Specter Knight clutching the locket like he does in the Tower before travelling to a new area, so SoT and KoC overlap a small bit, then PoS, SoH, and eventually SKD. Showdown is likely noncannon, though it would likely come between Dig and SoH

Cooper: idk he probably became friends with Propeller again.
Cardia: died along with her planet, thanks King Knight.

Missy: probably became a troupple acolyte, no idea what happened to her next.
Percy: became Manager of the Explodatorium and probably fucks the magicist
Plague: teaches alchemy, fixes machines, creates clones, experiments, became friends with Propeller, Mole and Tinker, became rich from all the stuff he stole from Treasure and also got himself knighted by Pridemor. He's in a love relationship with Mona now
Mona: the same with Plague Knight except for the being knighted part. When she is not with her fiancé, she hangs out in Specter Knight's home and does the bottle challenge at the parties there.
Chester: Chester got himself killed during the Siege of Sarajevo in 1995. Rip Chester, you will be missed
