I adore baseball and the catcher's great throws, but let's not forget about some of those great timed catch and tags. It all works together. I freakin' love baseball.
It's the same thing in Boston. They have 3 guys who could easily start on a lot of teams but don't want to give any up so they sent swihart back to the minors to try and work on playing a different position
This is absolutely beautiful ... a perfect catcher to second \ third throw is an art-form. Would love to see some snap-throws to first, in the manner of how the Cubbies protect Lester by doubling-back on the secondary leads.
While I like football better, I give it to most baseball players. They respect what the umps call and they don't get all butthurt like most football players do. They don't delay the game with their antics and crap. They get called out and they go back to the dugout almost every time.
Nick Eye.... I love American football, but you're the one making yourself look dumb. Handegg doesn't imply it's an egg shaped like a hand, why the hell would it mean a football is a ball shaped like a foot?
Great video! The guy at 0:19 has a (comparatively) slow release, but still manages to nab the runner. Amazing arm. Hell, they all have amazing arms! I still love the old videos of Ivan Rodriquez when he would hammer anyone that took too big of a lead off at 1st base (or wasn't paying attention for .00001 second). When he could hide behind a left-handed batter, he rarely missed one. That ball looked like it had been shot out of rifle when it came from behind Pudge's plate.
It's definitely one of those fast moments in baseball that you're just on pins and needles till the ump makes the call. I love it, especially with such great execution and coordination.
Drew Thompson It all depends on the batter. Since most batters pull the ball, the 2nd baseman usually takes it when there is a right handed batter and the shortstop takes it when there is a left handed batter. In the video, there are a lot of 2nd basemen making the tags. (I'm a second baseman too.)
Crazy bad Skater What the hell are you talking about. Salvy is good but Yadi is better. They're both way too good to make anyone look like shit except for every other catcher.
TheJFerg24 in the American League there isn't as fast people. If salvy was in the national league there would be a lot more stolen bases. Because you got people like billy Hamilton and Dee gordon
Didn't see much Yadi or Sanchez. I know Sanchez has only been around for less than a season, but he has more perfect throws already than a handful of catchers out there
The one at 3:05 was the best. Inside curve at 82, has to basically throw around the batter, makes a lightning strike, gets the runner by a mile and then just nods like yeah I do that sh*t
IF YOU WANNA SEE STUPID WATCH MY VIDS the only reason he's on here a lot is because he's done it many times!!! Watch the second video of him, he trough him out from his knees!
Question, when the 2nd baseman gets them out, why does he usually throw it to the guy behind him instead of to the pitcher, the guy behind him just throws it to the pitcher anyways, unless its the 3rd out of course
By a tie I mean that the runner touched the bag at precisely the same time as the fielder made the tag. That is a tie and it's supposed to go to the runner.
I know that this was made almost a year ago but, I think that it was real funny how you put Yan Gomes throwing out Cain the the next play that you show it was the other way around, like Salvador Perez throwing out Rajai Davis
Yadi is great but i would take Mike Matheny behind the dish every time. He didnt have the strongest arm in the league but he got the ball from the glove to the hand quicker. He also taught Yadi a lot of what makes him great!
I adore baseball and the catcher's great throws, but let's not forget about some of those great timed catch and tags. It all works together. I freakin' love baseball.
thankless job. boring as hell. stupidity
It's kinda funny how KC's "backup catcher" would be a starter on many other teams. Butera and Salvador Perez are both really good
It's the same thing in Boston. They have 3 guys who could easily start on a lot of teams but don't want to give any up so they sent swihart back to the minors to try and work on playing a different position
TheRedsox040711 do what you gotta do I guess :/
This is An alias Having Butera as a batter and catcher has really been a benefit for the team. Great behind the plate, animal in the box.
"Animal" is a bit of a stretch hahaha
This is An alias Salvy is The Best Catcher in Baseball... it's not even close for real.
Yadi is the best. Throwing out the fastest runner in the MLB is a huge accomplishment especially when his throw is right-on-the-money.
This is absolutely beautiful ... a perfect catcher to second \ third throw is an art-form.
Would love to see some snap-throws to first, in the manner of how the Cubbies protect Lester by doubling-back on the secondary leads.

spydergs07 Handegg*
zIIDaViDIIz98 plz shut up your soccer ball isn't in the shape of a foot so don't look stupid on the Internet
Nick Eye.... I love American football, but you're the one making yourself look dumb. Handegg doesn't imply it's an egg shaped like a hand, why the hell would it mean a football is a ball shaped like a foot?
xiii-Dex so the logic that you came up with handed shouldn't soccer be called footsphere
It's funny how angry Americans get over this xD
Great video!
The guy at 0:19 has a (comparatively) slow release, but still manages to nab the runner. Amazing arm. Hell, they all have amazing arms!

Isnt it amazing how perfect the dimensions of a baseball field are...
I'm starting to think you just shouldn't try to steal against Salvador Perez
Brian Fox Then you thought correct
Best catcher in the league.
I think your correct man
You shouldn't
Or Molina
I like how Altuve just starts jogging back to the dugout when he knows he's out.
1:41 love how he did this from his knees. He knew getting up would waste too much time so he focused everything into his upper body and it worked
2:40 I never seen a splatoon ad in a baseball game. Splatoon is a very good game
0:42 even the runner was impressed
Maldonado's throw at 2:51. That's a hose piece.
0:40 can't get much better than that.
I wish my little league catcher could throw like that
It's definitely one of those fast moments in baseball that you're just on pins and needles till the ump makes the call. I love it, especially with such great execution and coordination.
0:03 short stop got punched by the umpire
Needs more yadi, the best ever in my eyes. Said as a life long Cards fan lol
The best of MLB
4:25 easily my favorite one. Lough got a crazy good jump and he's fast but Russell put it right on the bag.
First, Contreras/Baez are pure put-out gold. Second, if you're a manager you need to stop telling Jankowski to run.
Catcher throw downs are some of my favorite moments of the great game 🔥
0:29 goddamn that was perfect
Maldonado's throw at 2:52 is thing of beauty.
the disrespect for yadi is real
How is yadi not in this
As a catcher and as a 2nd baseman, this video is porn.
xiii-Dex except for the bounced through by Posey.
xiii-Dex except 2nd doesn't even catch the ball short stop does
Drew Thompson It all depends on the batter. Since most batters pull the ball, the 2nd baseman usually takes it when there is a right handed batter and the shortstop takes it when there is a left handed batter. In the video, there are a lot of 2nd basemen making the tags. (I'm a second baseman too.)
Drew Thompson you are very incorrect it depends on the batter
Drew Thompson it depends on the hitter, you don't know too much baseball Ig
2:38 Splatoon ad. I love Splatoon!
salvy has so many you could put lol
Not enough Molina throws
I know right
Yadi is one of the best
Yadier Molina... best catcher of the century. All around player with great knowledge.
Crazy bad Skater lmao....salvy isn't on Yadi's level.
Crazy bad Skater
What the hell are you talking about. Salvy is good but Yadi is better. They're both way too good to make anyone look like shit except for every other catcher.
Mauer?
Where's Yadier Molina?
@ 2:19
Rocco The Great there aren't many videos because everybody knows not to steal on him haha
And 4:21
he's got his own video out there lmao
IRK!
i love the quick pickoff to first after a pitch, just showing the runner that they run the game
Oh, you just gotta love a great catcher, Perez, Molina, and my fav Posey.
0:41, doesn't get any closer to perfect than that.
Salvy is a beast!!!! All around catcher.
I honestly don't know who I enjoy watching more, Yadi or Martin.
Never run on Salvy...
TheJFerg24 or Molina
TheJFerg24 I know right
TheJFerg24 I live in Kansas city so I watch all the games
TheJFerg24 in the American League there isn't as fast people. If salvy was in the national league there would be a lot more stolen bases. Because you got people like billy Hamilton and Dee gordon
TheJFerg24 salvy threw out dee Gordon you can search for the video
bro the catcher throws the ball perfectly into the shortstops glove like holyyyyyyy
Maldy's throw at 2:32 👌👌👌
0:44 was the best in my opinion
I nominate 1:53 getting out Altuve as the best. Also, why is there so many Altuve outs?
Lovin it man keep it up plz
Where was yadi's WBC play
Didn't see much Yadi or Sanchez. I know Sanchez has only been around for less than a season, but he has more perfect throws already than a handful of catchers out there
I know I was disappointed that there wasn’t more Yadi
3:05 you came here for this!
The one at 3:05 was the best. Inside curve at 82, has to basically throw around the batter, makes a lightning strike, gets the runner by a mile and then just nods like yeah I do that sh*t
you really like kc
or la
yes!
Thats my team
IF YOU WANNA SEE STUPID WATCH MY VIDS the only reason he's on here a lot is because he's done it many times!!! Watch the second video of him, he trough him out from his knees!
that last russell martin throw was amazing
Damn those catchers have some serious arms.
This is the most badass thing in baseball
I like how a lot of these are KC Royals 👑
Catchers are easily the most under appreciated players on the diamond. And probably the hardest working
0:46 is the best
RIGHT ON THE MONEY
Question, when the 2nd baseman gets them out, why does he usually throw it to the guy behind him instead of to the pitcher, the guy behind him just throws it to the pitcher anyways, unless its the 3rd out of course
This is all what I want as a catcher...
Honestly any CS is impressive and could be on here. Catcher is a lit position.
Great arms and footwork
Kc catcher is supper good savidor prezis
Typical Beast super good? Salvador Perez
Jack Nitz yes
Typical Beast Salvy is my favorite player in the MLB. I am a KC ROYALS FAN.
Lol typical beast
Michael De Santa lol
Roberto Perez gunned out Terrence Gore twice in one series once. Underrated.
What ever happened to the tie going to the runner? Lots of ties in here.
Brett Robbins oh yeah
Brett Robbins A lot of these look super close
Brett Robbins you can't have a tie tagging a runner before they get on the base
By a tie I mean that the runner touched the bag at precisely the same time as the fielder made the tag. That is a tie and it's supposed to go to the runner.
if you look in slomo, it's probably clear that they're out
CATCHERS ARE AWESOME!
Molina throwing out Hamilton 👌
How fast can these catchers throw? it seems like they have some serious heat.
This is so satisfying
Good Salvador Perez.
Hot damn! They can heave the ball since they’re twice the distance from second.
Dont get much more perfect than 0:40
3:04 that 1.70 pop time tho :o
I thought this was going to be Salvador throw outs cuz that's how good he is
What a beautiful game
0:44 Not sure about that one seems his foot slid in before the tag.
3:04 Is unreal
I know that this was made almost a year ago but, I think that it was real funny how you put Yan Gomes throwing out Cain the the next play that you show it was the other way around, like Salvador Perez throwing out Rajai Davis
Funny how this video could just have been of buster posey and malina
Molina*
As a Molina fan, don't forget about Perez
0:18
3:36
The Angels got revenge
Only two yadi and one benji? Cmon they are amazing
Yadi should take up half of the highlights. What's wrong with the world?
1:21 was so obviously safe
You could make an entire video of these from Christian Vazquez... in one year.
Morale of the story don't steal on Yadi or the angels
Crazy bad Skater This is weird, you spelled Buster Posey wrong...
Salvador perez wow he is a beast
In terms of throw, Salvy is the best. So accurate.
Give the umps credit. Some of those were mighty close.
I find it amusing when the runner asks for time after they are called out lol Sorry Charlie, you go now.
The hardest play in sports .
Sal Perez , or Molina i would rate them up there with some of the best catchers all time Bench, Carter, Berra, Fisk, Rodregus , Campanella
When it comes to throwing out baserunners, Campanella's 57% success rate is almost unfathomable.
This video reminds me of catching back in Little League 20+ years ago.
Can you please tell someone who actually gives a damn?
I already did. Go troll somewhere else.
How come I seen 2 molins and only 2 buster posers there like the best cacthers but you did have a couple of Kansas City SOO it was otay
Who the guy who threw out pillar on the diamondbacks?
1:20 nah mate he was safe
YADIER MOLINA /IVAN RODRIGUEZ THE BEST.
Angel Marzan Ever hear of Salvador Perez?
Master Yoda L salvy is nowhere close to yadi
Molina
Yadi is great but i would take Mike Matheny behind the dish every time. He didnt have the strongest arm in the league but he got the ball from the glove to the hand quicker. He also taught Yadi a lot of what makes him great!
Brian Hancock We talking Matheny before or after the hunting knife😂😂
Awesome
Who else saw tulo at 0:39
This should just be a video of salvy throwing people out
I think your a Salvador Peres fan😂
Perez*
0:52 he slid 5 feet away from the base....
How do you do these edits? I am in to sports
Or molina
