They missed the tournament last year when they were together. Sometimes too much talent causes problems. Case in point: the 1977 NBA finals, Portland vs the Sixers.
Man what an Awesome game by Grant Nelson !!! He put the team on his back late in the second half. His ball handling and savvy moves is NBA for sure. Yes the Sweet 16 for Alabama finally was Sweet.

I just love this Alabama team! They play together so unselfishly and shine when they are down. Mark Sears seems to love being an underdog and he puts this team on his back and claws them back into tight games with crazy range 3s and/or drives to the basket drawing fouls. Estrada, Pringle, nelson, walters they all add something right when it's needed and this team juat refuses to give up.
Crushing loss for my Tar Heels but Alabama came with a chip on their shoulder and fire. Got to love it even if you lose.
Alabama defensively really picked it up in the 2nd half. Really did a great job of defending the post, and RJ Davis was ineffective throughout the game tonight. 1 ACC team goes down, 3 are still left standing

they probably were editing it and making sure they hit the 10 minute mark, and then once they did, didn't include much more because less people will click on it if the video is well over 10 minutes

saw Bama in T town 4th game of the season. scored 99. if they had scored 100 it would have been a record for the team. i am happily amazed they won this game. Roll Tide!

It’s a disturbing pattern how Carolina goes “panic street ball” in closing out games with a lead. They literally transform into a different team; one who forces bad shots, forgets how to move the ball, become dribble-happy and has no set plays to utilize decoys for open shots.
Led Kansas by 15 at half.

Clemson, Bama, two football schools in the basketball elite eight.
A few possessions went Alabamas way and didn't go our way down the stretch tough loss in a close close ball game. Shout out to the tide for sticking around with a great team and finding a way. Regardless our Seniors had a great run and have nothing to be ashamed of
Class statement. I was pulling for unc so hard against Kansas that yr in the final. Always had tremendous respect for the unc b ball program and always seemed so much cooler than duke. Roll Tide and great game.

UNC didn’t shoot up to y’all’s normal standards at all and Bama is very fortunate for that. I agree your seniors are leaving the program after a regular season conference championship and a Sweet 16 appearance. That’s after missing the tournament last season so those seniors put the program back on track for sure.

UNC just has a huge national following. I can't think of many other teams that have more basketball fans nationwide.
Alabama doesn’t travel particularly well once it’s past the Rockies. We’re not very wealthy, North Carolina is.
To be fair, there were quite a bit there, they were just on the other side of the screen where the camera wasn't pointing. You can hear many of them in the background when Bama makes a good play

Withers is not a good 3 point shooter, and with 20 seconds left on the shot clock they needed a smart shot by their best shooters or bacot. And withers shoots that 3. That was not a good decision by him with a minute left. And then he fouls Nelson the next play. So he's a big part on why they lost in the end right there.
