    Looks great!! I tried this gel. I like it better than the original version. It leaves my curls defined but not as crunchy as tress effects does.

    After watching a couple of videos about this particular brand (Climate Control)...I love it. It works really well on South Florida weather; which is summer all year long. The only thing I hate is the price for the little bottle you get. I can justify the price because I don't dye my hair and I have stopped doing Keratin treatments. The reason I purchased was because ULTA had the shampoo and conditioner for $32 instead of the $26 dollars each. I ended up purchasing two of each. It will definitely last me a long time.

    Lovely color eye makeup. On another note, how long from the start of putting in your styling product(s) to end does it take you?

    Do you prefer this hold better than the ultra defining

    Your curls look great here (as always!) I'm curious if this gel has enough hold that it could possibly replace a hair spray. I use the deva curl hairspray most of the time, but i feel it may be drying as well.

    Hey Kelly!! Love the results girl! Ouidad isnt silicone/paraben/sulfate free, like Devacurl, right? Would you say it has benefits for your hair like Devacurl does? I have been wanting to try Oiudad products but I dont want it to damage my hair if it has chemical or unhealthy ingredients..let me know girl!

    Hey Kelly, I just found your channel and I'm so glad. I'm obsessed with your hair! I absolutely love it! I'm going to let all my curls do their thing and hopefully they'll look like yours one day! I live in Florida so its hella humid here, I will try this gel!

    How often do you wash your hair? And any tips for dry scalp? I’m new to my “curly hair journey” and it seems like my scalp is getting soo dry, I can’t help but to wash my hair so much 😒 I will appreciate any tips!!

      Hi! I have scalp psoriasis and what has helped is moisturizing the scalp rather than washing it daily with harsh shampoos. I cowash with As I Am cowash (I use the itchy scalp one and the regular one). I use this 2 washes a week. For my third wash I use the Shea Moisture ACV JBCO shampoo. I also use a scalp massager. After washing I use a mixture of JBCO and jojoba oil. Deposit a few drops on my itchiest patches and massage it in. Must be done on super drenched hair if you wait for damp or after styling you will have flat/greasy roots. Hope it helps 🤗

    Hi Joy! I will be going on a trip soon and the temperature (85) and humidity (70%) will be very high, also raining periodically. Is this going to work? I have never tried anything like this or used any of these products. My scalp starts sweating and then my hair gets damp so everything near my scalp slowly starts to sweat out. I love my hair just fine, soft and smooth light curly texture after shampooing. Also the trip is about 20hrs long how do I keep my hair looking nice that long. Previously I had my hair blown dry, wrapped it by the time I arrived my hair was damp and back to it's curly self and the frizz was unbelievable. Can you help me with any suggestions or tips?

    I was trying to decide between Ouidad and Devacurl products for my daughters curly hair. Which of the two do you prefer using? I did read some of Ouidads ingredients and I believe I saw silicone in one of the products that I looked at. I thought that silicones aren't good for curly hair.

    • @chellleighton9413
      @chellleighton9413 6 лет назад +4

      Jane Caburian I am not Kelly but as a curly girl I have used both brands. Deva curl doesn’t work well for me so I would say try both and use what works best for your daughters hair. All curls are different

    • @JoyBeforeHer
      @JoyBeforeHer  6 лет назад +9

      Jane Caburian I didn’t see any silicones in this gel, but I’m not super against them only if they’re water soluble. That means they won’t cause build up and washes out. As for choosing between one or the other, it depends on your daughter’s curl type. They’re both super great brands and have good quality products. But sometimes even those don’t work well for some people. So I’d say to buy the small bottles sold at Ulta to try them out and see which you like better

      Chell Leighton I've already tried Shea Moistures fruit fusion coconut water shampoo and conditioner in her hair and it dried it out like crazy. I've also tried Curly Sexy Hair shampoo and conditioner for her hair and it also dried out her hair. Cantu is okay, but her hair seems to need a lot of moisture.

    • @myluckyseven77
      @myluckyseven77 6 лет назад +1

      Joy Before Her Thanks for the advice! How can you tell if the silicone is water soluble? I was using OGX shampoos and conditioners in her hair until I noticed that there were 2 different silicones in them. I've got straight Asian hair and my daughter got her curly hair from her European father so I'm trying to figure out this curly girl hair routine - def not used to the curly hair struggle.

      Jane Caburian man that is rough. I will say the deva curl shampoo and conditioner did and does the same to my hair. To the point it looked like a Brillo pad. Currently I alternate between ouidad climate control and the Kevin Murphy hydrate me and both work on my curls really well. But I will say I am am an older woman(44) with 90% gray/white died and highlighted hair. I use ogx oil on my hair then add other products. I tend to mix things up. I have found over the last 15 years that my hair does better when I mix things up. Oh how I wish when I was younger I had all the amazing products available today. I was a triangle head growing up so my hair was kept short. Not sur how old your daughter is but kudos to you for looking out for her and wanting her curls to be the best they can be.
