I'm happy, if not downright flattered that so many other people liked it a lot as I wasn't expecting Out In The Woods to even win POTM a couple of years ago. I'm glad that this story got as much traction as it did. Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this video as well as doing such a fantastic narration of this story that I genuinely had worked so hard on editing (by 'editing' I mean that I did not rewrite/or add anything onto the original story. I had just merely cleaned it up quite a bit so it could be a lot easier to comprehend since the original post actually had numerous spelling as well as grammatical errors like the person who originally wrote the story seemed to have typed everything out in a complete rush. I more or less spent a few months polishing this up so I then could post it on Creepypasta for everyone to enjoy. You did such a great job reading this, and I really appreciate it! that is true,when i was 9yrs old my daddy took me and got me a pump .20 gauge remington shotgun then a Winchester model 1894 repeating rifle ,and I can remember him telling me that the shotgun would kill anything in North America and to be sure and load it with slugs if I shot anything large with it and I would often go across the creek and roam the mountain over there and I was told to never go off over there without my shotgun or my 30-30 rifle .at the time I thought it was because my friend had been murdered over there was why they had armed me but I'm not so sure my Mom said she was always afraid a bear was going to get me when i would play in the woods,and I guess thats why she got me a 357 magnum colt revolver when I was about 14,we lived in the mountains near the border of VA. and WVA.deep in the Appalachains and there is plenty of Bears,I still live here and I don't let my kids go off and play in the forest alone becaue of the bears they are everywhere and love raiding folks trash cans and out buildings for dog food.

GORN a gladiator simulator with randomized enemies and weapons. last i saw it's 10 euro or dollars (depending on where you live) on steam. if you don't feel like paying you can find a free demo on the internet. then there is The Brookhaven Experiment a zombie survival game where you defend against hordes of the undead coming from all directions on multible different maps with different kinds of guns. it's for available for 20 on steam. or if you feel like the force is with you i'd suggest Lightblade there you get to deflect laser shots on multible different difficulties and you can even get to fight a sith (the combat isn't the best in the world). this game comes at 3.99. lastly there is Acan's Call i've only played a part of it but it's an interactive VR dungeon simulater where you get to fight skeletons with a sword. i've seen better Vr combat but the game is free so i say you get your moneys worth, no? well i hope to see you play some of these games as they are rather awesome.

Spend a lot of time in the wood. Stop moving if something is on you... it has to move to get to you. An easy target. Always carry a weapon big enough to deal with the largest animal in the zone. The most dangerous predator you will encounter is usually a human. Throw rocks and hang shiny things.
Funny you have a red fox for your picture. The only thing that has ever scared me while solo camping was a damn red fox screaming. I had no idea what that sound was at the time. Scared me shitless that night. They sound like some demonic woman screaming at the top of their lungs. Now I think its funny how scared I was by a damn fox of all things.
