Pallet timber frame, 5 gallon bucket, computer fan,Two milk bottles and a bicycle innertube.

Heads up:
I've used a composting toilet for around 7 years now, so I speak from an informed position.
Amonia in urine drives the composting reaction.
That's what makes this work, so . . . DO NOT separate the pee from the poop.
If you generate odor or attract insects, you need more cover.
It's not rocket science, however, there are a couple of rules!
Im 75 by the way and a retired plumbing contractor with 48 years of hands-on field experience. I know what I'm doing!
There is no need for any fans or duct work. All you need is a bucket, a bag and a toilet seat.
i empy a 35l urine tank a week with 2 people, i empty the 25ish litre bucket ony once every 3 or so weeks. fan sucks smells out, and def not filling the bucket with urine, would be full in a less than a week.
If you don't add urine you can put the poo straighten your bin

I thought it was called the dunne and by the way toilet roll takes up to six months to break down. I burn all mine but then i have a pit latrine which is outside. Did you know that eating meat makes your poo smell worse than veggies.
i sometimes put pieces of blank paper or cardboard (especially plain brown) into the compost, sometimes with the other paper recycling. not sure what they do with it, but that's another topic. anyway, i think the time to breakdown can vary greatly depending on the state and other contents of the compost pile.

Would love to know more about the ventilator fan. What is it, how big is it and how does it turn it on and off? ( we are kiwis too)
Hi Jillian. Its all there in the video, Its a 12v 100mm computer fan connected directly to a small solar panel -20w on the roof. no battery. It goes all day-stops all night.
Do you use coffee grounds only to cover tbe poos after each bodily evacuation?

When I have the $$ I'd like to commission you to build me a tiny house. I would probably like a box truck conversion build. \😆/ It's been a dream of mine for years. I wonder though now if it will ever be. I'm 51 in Jan. MORE 😃
Don't get a truck on COF. They are trying to get all non commercial trucks off the road.
And my shoulders are ruined now- no more builds, I have to look after myself now.

more for sure. there was a composting toilet at the place where they kept the horses i rode in school when i lived in oaxaca mexico. they would toss some sawdust on top, but your bucket looked a bit different. i was wondering what your process involved, so another video detailing that would be much appreciated.
btw, i have a little terra cotta filter setup based on your other video, but the flow rate is soooooo slow. it takes days just to get through a few cups of water. not sure if i can do something to affect that, or if it would make sense to have an array of many small pots. perhaps one bigger pot would be faster since there'd be the weight of more water pushing down.
I would try burning the pot- some manufacturers dip the pot in a 'varnish' to slow transpiration.

just cook the pot on a low gas heat for 1/2 an hour Ive cracked a few by putting them in a wood fire. you could put it in the oven with the door slightly open.- its sort of a PVA clear paint that makes them almost shiny. They don't all have it@@myprivacy998

Hey, I didn't hear what happened to your Mushrooms yet. Did the Colloidal Silver clean up the mold? Thanks.
It did clean up that grain- but knocked back the mycilium too. Ive had many more issues with contam. Im still working through it. No Mushrooms yet. 4 months now
@@t.h.o.r. I am so glad that I held off on trying to grow Mushroom. I didn't really have the space for it to begin with, but one day!
Tell me more about how the CS worked on the mold? I'm so happy that you had it, to give it a try.
BTW I was readying up on the GMO Jab... Something they use to help get the X into the cell is ZINC! Zinc is the booster that really helps Ivermectin to work.
Maybe try to supplement one of your Mushroom soils with Zinc?
