    I had a blast fishing on the Cape Henlopen Fishing Pier. Met a lot of great people and got a few on their first flounder ever. What is the craziest thing you've caught off a saltwater pier? CHECK OUT THIS EPISODE -------> ruclips.net/video/irY3-tOLCMU/видео.html

      We were on the pier at the same time - my son caught a seahorse in one of our crab nets ... that was pretty crazy!

    I’ve been chasing after a flounder to beat my first one for the past almost forty years. We moved to Delaware in the fall of 1984. Halloween week. My dad had us at that pier that weekend. Dad got skunked, but my very first cast I caught that legendary doormat flounder! Twenty six inches of pure deliciousness! Closest I’ve caught since was twenty two, but I’m still chasing lol

    Was fishing there a week ago today. My buddy Conner there kept coming over tossing right into everyone. Had to give him a kind lesson in respect and personal space. He's definitely going to be a great fisherman and still learning lessons! His mom doesn't look as burnt as she was on Friday sitting in the shadow of the light post lol.

    I fished that pier countless times over the last 30+ years. You never know what you are going to get. My understanding, spadefish are not common to the Henlopen but come through every now and then. Cool stuff!

    • @302FISHING
      @302FISHING  Год назад +1

      You are correct on the assumption with the Spadefish. That's why I included it because of its rarity in the area. I love fishing the pier too because of that reason. Thank you for watching!

    • @302FISHING
      @302FISHING  Год назад +1

      @anthonymcgrane6776 I would go to henlop and bait and tackl.. They have a better selection and live bait needs... Is blood worms and minnows are good... You could drop some bunker more than likely you're gonna get a big old ray

    The crabs were eating your minnows! The pier is surrounded by them. You need to fish out farther and at incoming hi tide.

      The pier is hot or miss...I think outgoing is the best tide to fish...plan around the tides to increase your chances of a bite ot two. Thank you for watching!!
