Honestly, Sonic talking to the male version of Amy is a cool idea since Amy and he is the same so he can tell sonic how he feels first hand in those situations. This can allow Sonic to understand how to treat the situation for the future. Now all that is left is the female version of Sonic to talk to Amy about how she feels since it's clear they will hear the gender-bent version of themself more.

Sonic was named the Knight of the Wind for a reason: he has no master but the wind at his back. Once Amy understands that, stops trying to possess him, to control him, to own him... THAT'S when his own feelings for her will bloom.

Sonic, YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR AMY'S FEELINGS! I've encountered too many real life situations where someone has a huge crush, do things that borderline on harassment, and when they get their feelings hurt, it's the other person's fault for not liking them back. It drives me crazy. It's like nice guy/girl crap. The ones crushing aren't owed anything.
I've experienced some stuff similar. The guy wasn't quite as crazy as Amy, but I have experienced it. Thankfully, most of my friends acknowledged the behavior was unacceptable, unlike some of Sonic's (I'm looking at you, Tails.)
