19th century methods albeit spray foam was not about then. The big issue,the big question, is was the steel protected before spray foam chucked on. I don't mean a slap of paint. I mean sand blasting mill scale off then hot zinc coated the 2 pack paint then insulation not spray foam. That is my idea of steel protection.
