    Pretty much I replace all idlers and tensioner when I do belts anymore. Since most belts have 75K on them before replacement, it is cheap insurance.

    I had an idler pulley seize and melt. Had to clean the grooves in the pullies. Used a screwdriver and wire brush. It was a mess for sure.

      Always a pain. I've actually had to tell a customer they needed a new alternator before because after about 30+ minutes of trying to get it untangled from around and behind the pulley I just gave up.
