This is a great vid. Frankly, 90% of what you said is what I learned to do with this SBMM that sucks so bad. Since COD first came out, I've never had lower than a 1.5 KD, with it ranging to over 2.2 on COD 4, but now.. .97. Not even a 1.0. holy cow. So, I stopped playing my style, now I walk instead of running, now I camp a bit more. Get a couple of kills, then camp for the 3rd to get my gold camo's. It's ridiculous.
Same im a run n gun player now i crouch walk slow and unfortunately camp a little i hate camping UNLESS im playing DMZ 😅.my kd is at a 1.2 .

Leaving a game is probably the tip I need to start taking seriously... I always feel bad or feel like I need to persist against better players in order to get better?? But that has been quite counter intuitive lately and I just end up quiting and raging like a grumpy old man who spilled his apple sauce! Thanks Nick for reminding us its not the end of the world to leave a match!

This is helpful in a way but after how bad SBMM is in MWII and how much it penalizes players who actually want to rise above that skill gap, it makes it difficult, after I got Orion on December 12th my K/D has stayed around 0.95 and 0.94 no matter what I seem to do, I may be a trash player but I think it also has to do with my mindset as well. This video shines a little light on that for me and what to do to read every situation better. I’m a sniper by default so the skill gap is even more narrow for me and I’m sure lots of other players can agree. None the less, great video and I appreciate the thought and tips.

I think I started at a .60 KD and continuously gotten better now at a .72 KD only because I’ve never been into COD and recently got into it trying to eventually get it over 1.0

No stress on the 1.42 KD. I'm normally a 2kd player and between leveling guns and getting older I'm down around a 1.1. I think it'd go a long way of the spawns weren't so aweful

Big thanks for the recommendations!! I'm a big zombies player but admittedly only got into it because I was never a great at multiplayer. Getting my ass kicked by snotty 12yr old kids wasn't my idea of a fun night. Only until very recently have I started to regularly make my way to the top of the board at the end. I've always gone for kill count. That's how my mentality has always been. The best players have the best skills is how I assumed it was. But I never thought of it as maybe they're the ones playing for killstreak and THAT'S why they're at the top of the kill count every time. Thanks for opening up my eyes.

I started at 1.42 which is the highest ive ever had lol. Dropped to a 1.07 and after watching some videos i went up to a 1.09 and going up
Finished my camo grind at 1.31, up to 1.41 now but still grinding!
Yk honestly going for streaks definitely help a lot cuz when I was camo grinding and had to get the 3 kills without dying 10 times for gold I immediately played 10x better everytime just Bcz I knew streaking mattered

I've never seen nick snipe the FaZe farries how ever have plenty of tips n tricks but in reality mate the only thing that's really going to help with snipping is practice and more practice no video in the world no matter how many you watch will magically make you a better sniper

@@deadwilson practice with bots is the best advice anyone can give you on sniping. Turn on the center dot in your settings and practice keeping your dot centered as much as possible. Once you get that part down add jumping and sliding into the mix. Almost like a pre aim method just assume your target is gonna be around a corner and just jump out and aim. Ive practiced sniping on bots every COD and it has really helped me alot. Yes bots are dumber than humans and the movement is different but you'll be surprised how similar some ppl in this game are to bots. Learn to drag scope before quickscope. Invasion is another good place to learn how to snipe. Just a lil advice. Hope it helped.
I’ve been doing my camo grind so I’m below a 1 now, sitting at a .97 KD ; which bothers me but then again I have to realize I’m playing completely different cause of these challenges
I'm pretty late here, trying to get back into cod after not playing multiplayer since the og mw2, but I've definitely noticed a lot of shooting first and dying first, even when I'm running my strongest builds. Good info to know, kept wondering why people would eat 3 to 4 rounds directly to the face, then boom, I'm dead in one shot.

currently 1.68..usually over a 2 k/d..but i'm pretty much at the k/d that i start every cod then i get it over 2 k/d over time after i max out all my weapons..i've always used the lower streaks..never a killstreak higher than 7

I can say personally in most TDM modes when my teammates leave us underhanded I don't even care - it lets you farm kills on the enemies easier since you have less competition from teammates.
It only hurts when you're underhanded in an objective based mode, but even then if you get the win it feels even better being undermanned.
I was 1.45 on Vanguard and am now stuck around .95 in MWII. Glad to hear others are having the same drop off. Fun game but the unbalanced gameplay is frustrating.

Last I checked I was like a 1.86, idk its probably changed. I only play cdl moshpit though. More objective based players, less players, and alot less campy.

Almost all CoD or Battlefield games my K/D usually hovers around 2.4 but with this CoD it was 1.07, ouch. Was playing on an older Xbox, slow refresh rate monitor and obviously using a controller.
Just got a new gaming PC with a fast refresh rate monitor and mouse and keyboard. I’m still getting used to the mouse sensitivity and still messing up some keys on the keyboard but my new account started with a 1.66 K/D, so at least that has helped but I definitely agree with the shitty connections and servers.
Still times where I come around a corner and instantly die but the kill cam made me look like an idiot with the reaction time of internet explorer lol

My vanguard was 1.5 to 2kd but my other ones are low asf extremly this just couse at first i forces on leveling at first not kills then i forced on my high kill games after i finished all my guns so i don't have to worry about attachments
Back in bo2/mw3 my kd was floating in between 2.0/2.5 and now it’s staying in between 1.3/1.5

I havent beezn playing MW since 2009 so when I started MWII in 2022 I was like 0.8 K/D. Now I am 1.10 so in the last few weeks my average had to be around 1.5.
What I dont like about matchmaking is that I am playing a game and finish with 25 kills/ 8 deaths and just in the next one it's 10 kills / 20 deaths. Seems like it's unconsistent.

Bit of a random question I have from your vid, I seem to be struggling with recoil, I'm copying youtubers loadouts that have Lazer beams, but when I do it, there is still recoil, so I'm asking would you have any settings that can improve it, I'm on xbox playing on a 50 inch TV, your advice would be greatly appreciated...
Put your FOV higher (field of view). It doesn’t reduce recoil but it does reduce visual recoil making it easier to see and stay on target! I’d also recommend lowering your ADS sensitivity to 0.90-0.95 to help stay in target as well!

When 'the man in the corner' its me I always get killed by someone sliding (and that's fine) but also by someone walking slowly towards me and suddenly appearing. I shoot but I can't kill him.
Forces on both on the minimap but like u said more so ur teammates coz that will tell u alot
If you're really bummed about your KD, just remember this is a game and it doesn't actually matter. To anyone. It's great to have fun and make goals, but don't get discouraged.
Facts, im a level 26, only ever playing campaign bc i was trash but even that in short amount of time i’ve gotten a lot better (for me at least) but whenever i get pissed i remember it’s all for fun, not like i’m really at war lol

I don’t worry much about deaths. I just play aggressive and go for kills. Fun that way.
To avoid SBMM go on Tier 1, because in T1 there’s no shoot first die first rubbish, the bullets actually work. AND, the bunny hopping technique doesn’t save them from dying. Much better.

i have a 1.54 kd overall but for prisoner rescue mode its 1.96 and that accounts for almost half my total kills
Mine was a 1.47 when the stats came out but now it’s a 1.67
In the past week I got a warning for bad language because of the person I was playing with got banned for 3 days for leaving a match and went to play DMZ spawned in right in front of another team and was killed before the spawn was complete. I've seen several things wrong with this game it is broken for sure and coming unplayable

I’ve been bouncing between 1.1-1.2 definitely my lowest in any cod
I hit a 3.0 kd for the first few hours. Then I drop to 1.5-.5 for the next 6 hours. Their finding comparable enemies is bullshit. They need to figure out a way to find comparable with a slight challenge rather than wiping the floor with you constantly.

I'm new to modern warefare. I really love the stress it causes. The hype of surviving is great. 2 dislikes i find. 1, DMZ everyone making it to the helicopter for an exfil, is a comrade. This needs to be a safe zone for each person. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten on the chopper safely just be mowed down by a jackass on the same exfil. Safe zone in helicopters.
2, the game needs a map where all you fight against are bots and kill squad bots. You need to have time to learn the mechanics of the game and what items do. There are so many things you can pick up and i don't know how to use them because you are fighting for your life instantly.
Oh and what is kd? I said 1.99 because i want you to know i watched to the end.
