contract prestige essentially just refers to how much money is involved. the higher the contract prestige, the more money you’re making. the team prestige refers to how good the car (or in this case) truck itself is. so basically that’s where the secret engine power rating would lie. the team chemistry i really don’t know what that affects, i never played enough of this game/07 to know, but if i had to guess i would assume that affects the likelihood of your teammates to do favors for you such as “move over” or “block” etc.

Yeah I think you're right. I just signed with a 3 star prestige NNS team and I never had a problem with two 5 star teams in Modified and Truck series. But in NNS I can't get the damn car to stop sliding. I can make all the adjustments you could imagine and it may drive better for a few laps anyway, but sooner or later the car will start sliding again and I never had this issue until I joined a crappy raceteam.
