I just do not understand why people are questioning why he actually spoke out on the fact the the mic went bad on him, he did the right thing so that they could fix the problem fast, for goodness sake this was the 'International Soca Monarch (so they say). It wasn't like a small gig somewhere random. He actually did a great job on letting the sound people know his mic wasn't working as it should've...also played it off well into the performance. The result of the show exposes the mediocrity of the Soca Monarch in Trinidad, they weren't even trying to hide the bias in this one. They gifted Iwer a participation trophy, it was more like a ''here you go, now shut up" type of thing...they didn't care how well anyone else did, long before a lot of performances they knew they'll give it to Iwer, it's kinda sad and funny at the same time but its just the genre and its growth i'm concerned about..there's a huge responsibility in being fair when it comes to this show...there shouldn't be any bold-faced bias as was we've seen, it needs to stop!

Problem was his own problem last night. He handed the 🏆 to his challengers. Everyone was supporting him until he became negative. He didn’t watch Beyoncé. It doesn’t matter what is happening you have to go on with your performance. I didn’t come to know if the monitor/mic or anything is not working. I came to Nasty Up the place.

This mic problem was embarrassing. Why can't we ever have things run smoothly in TnT? Hear how strong and clear his voice was when the mic was working well. So many of the other performers sounded out of breath and flat. For me, Lyrikal should've been 1st, Problem 2nd and Iwer 3rd.
