*Could have used this video when I did a 100K last month and my previous longest race was 800m...* _Still recovering from multiple injuries to both my feet._ 🦶 Video saved in case I can ever run again lol.
@@moustaphabaya7887 yeah was actually listening to him. Got my first injuries on mile 18-20. Listening to him got me to 56 mile mark! Long story short, both my Apple watch and iPhone batteries dying at the end didn't help either. Was trying to charge them up so I could get motivated. It sucked!
TraumaER but you gotta embrace the suck tho! 😂😂 Awesome man! Now once you recover, just go slow and build up a base so you can run long term and maybe one day even prepare for a 100k properly hahahha have you got a Strava?
@@moustaphabaya7887 yeah my biggest issues were not carrying a large enough backpack and not running faster in the beginning. Once it got dark, I couldn't see anything and that is where I had to drop out. No lights, my eyes failing me, no moonlight, no stars = hell.
I love The Run Experience and how much they have contributed to the running comunity but don't buy into the UCan hype. I get it they need sponsors but you're basically paying $10.00 for a quarter cup of cornstrach. Go to the store by a box (organic if preferred) for $2.50 add to your water with whatever flavor you like if you want a you can add a touch of zanthun gun to keep it for seperating. It's 1/6 of the cost, same nutrition value.
@@CS-ww3bs yes, that is exactly what Ucan is. They call it "Super Starch but on ingredients it is listed a modified corn starch, (or corn flour depending on what part of the world your in.) That's it. Side by side the nutritional value is exactly the same.
Thank you so much for all you do !!! I have been running for about 15 something years but have never done a 50 miler or ultra is on my race calendar ;) Thank you for all the tips on gear it really help a lot Can you recommend some sock that keep my feet cool I get hot feet with almost any socks I have tried asics. Bálega ultra thin, regular socks and I end up stopping to take them off :( I have been running wo socks
You guys haven't spoken about watch. I'm planning to buy gps multisport watch for longer distances 12+hrs and I really want to hear your thoughts. Which of them has good battery life, gps tracking system etc. ?
Can you make any suggestion on sunglass with bifocals I have trouble seeing my watch day or night and when it’s bright out my eyes hurt and headache. I can see 3’ or more but I can’t see my watch or read.
It's a shame these guys kept getting in the dog's video :)
That dog is definately stealing the show :P
Nora knows she's the star ;)
I often use a bike-jersey (short sleeve), a size bigger than the one I use for biking.
Its got great pockets amd can be more or less zipped up/down.
Man, one ultra in I said I was done. Now about 5 in and it's the only way to go! Absolutely love it!
As always thank you guys for the running tips.
Great information! I always run with sunglasses & hat for sun protection! Plus, POCKETS are fantastic!; the more the better!
In Europe the buff is more a fashion item among trail runners than really being used. Most people just wear it around the neck, even if it is not cold
Just ordered UCAN! 👍
Nice video.... And the cool Doggy.

That's what I was wondering. They talked about sock length but how about sock material?
Great tips!

If you're consuming adequate protein on a regular basis then the "window" is mostly irrelevant.
UCAN needs a plant based option. #dairyisscary
you need therapy
Never did this in my life:
*First?*
needs a bit more thought put into it, lads....
Come on guys, this was just an advertisment.
