My favorite outfit was the beautiful pink dress I wore for my daughter’s wedding 28 years ago. I still have it and would like to wear it for my funeral whenever that is.
When I was little, I had pants that were menu print with all sorts of foods and prices. My sister and I still laugh about that and brings back such fun memories of childhood.
Love drinking water as my go to beverage. I warm it up to 60 degrees and drink it out of my favourite coffee mugs. Gives that warm cup feeling especially in the winter or when camping and boating. I was a big coffee and tea drinker in my past. My body likes the water better.
I know it was a long time ago (1982), but for my First Holy Communion, I wore the same beautiful white, lace layered dress & veil that both my Mom and Aunt wore for their Communion. My dear great Aunt Catherine, who was like a third grandmother to me, purchased the dress in the late 1950s. My mom still has the dress & beauty & details of it are like no other made today for children.
Bonus question...I had a red fleece vest that I wore for years until the zipper broke. For some reason I just loved that vest. I always wore It with a black shirt.
Bonus question answer- my most favorite outfit was what I wore to my senior prom in 1986. It was a bridesmaids dress that my mother wore in her sisters wedding. Very vintage 50’s style and it fit perfect. I was the only one with this very unique style. It meant the world to me to be able to wear it to my senior prom. ❤
The best outfit I ever had was a two-piece skirt and top in a beautiful royal purple. My sister and I had our picture taken and it was the first photo of the two of us that I looked better than she did! She was so photogenic, but this time the color and cut of the outfit just made me glow.
Blue velvet dress with large opening in the back and they played the song “Blue Velvet” several times (I think it was by Bobby Vinton). You guys are too young to remember 😀
Something unable to do well: There are many 😂 But the first that comes to mind, is remembering names. For quite awhile, I've been a host at a very busy Italian restaurant, and I wish I was much better at remembering the guest names. I think a habit of using the persons name a couple of times during first conversation would have served me well as a youngster! 😂 PS. Great show! And loved the costume! 🐎
My quilted jacket i made when i was 8. Its various calico purple flowers. I entered itin the county fair and won a blue ribbon! I still have it at my moms house ❤
Funniest mistake, installing a slip pocket upside down. I didn't realize until the purse was completely done. I left it as it was for myself. I laugh every time I see it.
My favorite costume was the Fruit of the Loom grapes. The first year I did it I used small water balloons (not filled with water, filled with air). I went to a party and by the end of the night I was "2 scoops of raisins" as the balloons were popped by some who could not resist the urge. The next time I actually sewed individual "grapes" and put balloons inside them so they were not so easily popped.
I had figured out how much fabric i would need in feet and forgot to convert to yards. So I bought 20+ yards rather than 20+ feet converted would have been maybe 7 at the most! Bummer. But I did end up using it all on other projects.
For a couple of years now, I have been trying to dress more like myself and my true personality. This came about after staring out of the window on a bus and just looking at everyone and remembering an old book that had an illustration of all the clothes from centuries of human civilization from all over the world, that now we disrespectfully call a costume. We have become very boring and almost homogenous. I think this is something we all have lost in the past years of mass manufacturing. So I have been trying to figure out what that would look like for each season; I would describe my style as 60% bohemian, 40% librarian, with a touch of "very put together Clair Huxtable" vibe. It was able to achieve that look once during the summer. It felt very much like my true self, was super confident and extremely happy. This led me down a path to start creating my own wardrobe, bags, and jewelry and designing how my look would be and what the colors would be. It just isn't something I can find in the store. So I am super excited about this journey.
I am a large lady and I desperately wanted an Indian ladies costume. I found this website that you could send all your measurements to and they would make you the exact outfit you had selected from their website. It was amazing, I felt a million dollars and it fitted perfectly.
To be honest I can’t think of anything that stands out in my mind. My favorite costume I made was for my son, it was a scarecrow when he was about five.
Also, favorite outfit was a brown leather jacket with fringe that I had in high school. It weighed a ton and probably looked more like a Halloween costume 😜
My favorite outfit would have to be my prom dress and wedding dress as they were both celebrated with the love of my life, Steve. He passed away 3 months before our 43rd wedding anniversary.😊
One of my favorite outfits was a Doctor Who costume I put together from thrifted items. I was the 11th doctor and sewed elbow patches on an old jacket 😂 and wore some sweet suspenders.I bought his sonic screwdriver and had a great time at a Halloween party.
My favorite outfit was the band (drum majorette) uniform that was specially sewn for me when I was in high school. I had dreamed for years to wear the uniform and lead the squad, but as I was 6 feet tall, I never dreamed that I would be chosen or find someone that could taylor the uniform perfectly. Mom found a seamstress that made it all happen. I was so proud while wearing it at every event.. I just found the uniform while cleaning out my parents' house, and to my surprise, I tried it on, and ironically, it still fits. I was proud once again, but for different reasons. I am 66 years old now!
QUESTION: Do you have to have a certain # of subscribers or views to be able to have auto-generated captions on a Live? That is so helpful, thank you and Danny.
@@SparkyOne549 They did have it available on this Live. If you go to Settings (the little gear at top right), Captions, and select Auto-generated, that version may have some typos, but the speed matches lip-reading (my favorite). Other caption settings can be a line or more behind. What is different with Sew Sweetness is that they **have** captions on a Live video, not just on the pre-recorded episodes. If I can find out how that works, (e.g. does it take a large channel, or is it just a setting?) I would like to ask some other channels to please add captions on Livestreams. The captions really help me with my learning disabilities. And if the visuals are just too fast for me, I use another setting (on pre-recorded videos). It is Settings, Playback Speed, 0.25x (1/4 speed), with the sound turned all the way down. With captions, and slow speed, I can see the most tricky details easily. I use this a lot in knitting videos, for instance. Then when I’m done, I change the Settings back to Normal Speed, and put the sound up again, or my next video will be slow speed too. It is so fun to have these settings, it’s like asking an in-person teacher to show it slowly. I hope you have fun with this too.
Quilting and bag making all new to me during pandemic. I am currently 75 and love it.
When I was young I had a pair of red overalls that I loved
I started bag making during the pandemic. That’s when I found Sew Sweetness!

Love drinking water as my go to beverage. I warm it up to 60 degrees and drink it out of my favourite coffee mugs. Gives that warm cup feeling especially in the winter or when camping and boating. I was a big coffee and tea drinker in my past. My body likes the water better.

I had a beautiful red puffy sleeves floor length dress I loved the color & I has seen it on a mannequin & bought it from that. It looked great on me.
I know it was a long time ago (1982), but for my First Holy Communion, I wore the same beautiful white, lace layered dress & veil that both my Mom and Aunt wore for their Communion. When first learning to sew, I learnt the hard way about directional patterns as I made a dress with the animals upside down.
The best outfit I ever had was a two-piece skirt and top in a beautiful royal purple. My sister and I had our picture taken and it was the first photo of the two of us that I looked better than she did! She was so photogenic, but this time the color and cut of the outfit just made me glow.
Morning beverage...Coffee with a little cream
I had the best blue and green floral bell bottom jeans back in the mid 70's. My dad bought them for me. They were "spiffy"
Fave outfit would be casual pants and shirt that does not require a lot to put together.
Such a cute Jessie you are❤❤
I love your shirt
Blue velvet dress with large opening in the back and they played the song “Blue Velvet” several times (I think it was by Bobby Vinton). You guys are too young to remember 😀

Q9 I started quilting during Covid! And I started Diamond painting while watching TV.
Funniest mistake, installing a slip pocket upside down. I didn't realize until the purse was completely done. I left it as it was for myself. I laugh every time I see it.
Very cute costume
My candy pink suit for my wedding! I had a dress with jacket for the ceremony and switched to pants with jacket in the evening!
My favorite costume was the Fruit of the Loom grapes. The first year I did it I used small water balloons (not filled with water, filled with air). I love the golden girls
My wedding dress - It was my mother's! Now that she has passed on, it's even more special to me.
My favorite outfit was my shiny pant disco outfit when it was all the rage!
I had figured out how much fabric i would need in feet and forgot to convert to yards. So I bought 20+ yards rather than 20+ feet converted would have been maybe 7 at the most! Bummer. But I did end up using it all on other projects.
A 70’s outfit that I wore to a concert!😊

My favorite outfit I have ever worn was my wedding dress, even if I did forget my veil at home in the rush of trying to get everything done. 😂😂😂😂❤
7. All of them

Ironically the question about a conversation with an animal, my first thought was to ask my dog how she got out of the fence?! She needs to show ME! 😂
love the Turtle fabric
With a million bucks, I'd like to take the whole family on vacation. 7 kids, plus spouses, 15 grands. It would take a pretty penny!
My favourite outfit would have to be the pirate costumes I made for myself and hubby to wear to a pirate themed birthday party
When I learned German at university, the teacher would only speak in German, no English allowed! That was tough but worked!
My favorite outfit was my wedding gown, which was actually my mother’s!
My favorite outfit was the band (drum majorette) uniform that was specially sewn for me when I was in high school.
